2004 FIA GT Donington 500km
The 2004 FIA GT Donington 500 km was the sixth round the 2004 FIA GT Championship season. It took place at the Donington Park, United Kingdom, on 27 June 2004. Several competitors from the British GT Championship participated in this event, although the TVR Tuscans were required to run in a separate special class due to the cars not meeting N-GT homologation requirements. The #5 Vitaphone Saleen overtook the #17 JMB Ferrari for the lead, then quickly build up a gap of 8 seconds. In the last lap at the chicane, the #5 had come together with the #99 Porsche and the former suffered a puncture. The damage to the Saleen was enough to lose the win as Jaime Melo retake the lead in the final corner. Lilian Bryner
Lilian Bryner (born 21 April 1959) is a racing driver from Switzerland. Career She has mainly raced in the FIA GT Championship from 1997 until 2005 and has raced in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Her first race at Le Mans was in 1993, but her most successful was finishing second in the GT2 class with Ecurie Biennoise and ninth overall in 1994. In 1995 she joined Stadler Motorsport but in the 1995 24 Hours of Le Mans her #79 Porsche 911 GT2 retired completing 81 laps. Enzo Calderari (born 18 April 1952, Bienne, Switzerland) is a Swiss entrepreneur and former car racing driver. Career Enzo Calderari is the son of Jacques Calderari, who was active as a sports car driver in the 1960s. The son, a real estate agent in his day job, can look back on a racing career spanning almost 30 years. He began GT and touring car racing in the 1970s and, together with Marco Vanoli, finished sixth overall in the 1980 European Touring Car Championship (overall winner Helmut Kelleners and Siegfried Müller junior). Matteo Bobbi (born 2 July 1978 in Milan) is an Italian racing driver with experience in several motor sport categories, including three years as a Minardi test driver in Formula One. During a brief time with Formula One's Minardi as their test driver, he also began racing in sports cars, winning the 2003 FIA GT Championship with Thomas Biagi in a BMS Scuderia Italia Ferrari, and finishing as runner-up in 2004. In 2006, he won the GT2 class with Jaime Melo. Bobbi began racing karts in 1995 and progressed to Formula Renault in 1998, where he finished on the podium several times.
