The 2004 Croatian Football Super Cup was the sixth edition of the Croatian Football Super Cup, a football match contested by the winners of the previous season's Croatian First League and Croatian Football Cup competitions. Croatian Football Super Cup
The Croatian Football Super Cup is a Association football, football match between the winners of the Croatian national Croatian Football League, top league and Croatian Football Cup, football cup. The Super Cup is always held at the beginning of a new football season, and is only held when different clubs win the two most important competitions in the previous season (i.e. the match is not played when a club completes Double (association football), the domestic double). Since the establishment of Croatian football competitions in 1992, the two local powerhouses GNK Dinamo Zagreb, Dinamo, HNK Hajduk Split, Hajduk and HNK Rijeka won doubles on twelve occasions (Dinamo Zagreb 11, Hajduk Split 1, Rijeka 1). Mato Neretljak
Mato Neretljak (born 3 June 1979) is a Croatian professional football manager and former professional player who played as a defender. He was most recently the manager of Croatian club NK Rudeš. Club career He started his professional career in 1999 with HNK Orašje. In 2000, he transferred to NK Osijek for which he played until 2002. Then he transferred to HNK Hajduk Split and spent three seasons with the club before leaving it for South Korean club Suwon Samsung Bluewings in 2005. In 2009, he moved to Japanese club Omiya Ardija. On 23 May 2012, he signed for HNK Rijeka on a two-year-long contract deal. In 2014, he announced his retirement. Ivan Bošnjak
Ivan Bošnjak (; born 6 February 1979) is a Croatian retired professional footballer who played as a forward. He spent most of his career playing for boyhood club HNK Cibalia, Dinamo Zagreb and Hajduk Split in his native Croatia, as well as Genk in Belgium and Chongqing Lifan in China. Club career Bošnjak started his professional career at local club HNK Cibalia in the 1996–97 season. He went on to move to Hajduk Split in 2000 and left the club after two seasons for Al-Ittihad Tripoli from Libya, where he spent a season without getting a chance to make a single appearance in an official match. Damir Milinović
Damir Milinović (born 15 October 1972) is a Croatian professional football manager and former player. He was named manager of Dubrava in June 2022. Club career Born in Rijeka, Milinović spent most of his career in his local club, Rijeka, before moving to Croatia Zagreb in 1997. He failed to impress in Croatia so he returned to Rijeka in the next season. After an impressive season with Rijeka, during which the club lost the title in last match, Milinović left for Germany in summer of 2000, signing with VfL Bochum. Andre Mijatović
Andre Mijatović (born 3 December 1979) is a Croatian former professional footballer who played as a defender. Career Mijatović was born in Rijeka, SR Croatia, SFR Yugoslavia and started his career at the local club HNK Rijeka, where he became a member of the first team in the summer of 1998. He subsequently spent five seasons with the club and was a regular in every of the five seasons, making a total of 122 appearances and scoring 10 goals for the club in the Croatian First League. Ivan Turina
Ivan Turina (3 October 1980 – 2 May 2013) was a Croatian footballer who played at both professional and international levels as a goalkeeper. Club career Turina started his professional career with his youth club Dinamo Zagreb in 1998. Before settling as a first-team member in 2003, he completed loan spells at Croatia Sesvete, Kamen Ingrad and Osijek. He was Dinamo Zagreb's first-choice goalkeeper during the 2005–06 season, when the club won their first league title in two years. Ivan Katalinić
Ivan Katalinić (born 17 May 1951) is a former Croatian footballer and former manager who had a successful playing career with Hajduk Split and Southampton in the 1970s and 1980s. As a member of Hajduk's famous "golden generation" of the 1970s, he won four Yugoslav championships and five consecutive cups. In early 1980, he moved to Southampton where he stayed for three and a half seasons. On his return from England, Katalinić once again joined Hajduk becoming part of the coaching staff and a third choice goalkeeper for the 1983–84 season. Dario Damjanović (born 23 July 1981) is a Bosnian professional football manager and former player who is the manager of First League of FBiH club Orašje. Club career Damjanović started his career at football clubs in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia, but signed with Croatian club Hajduk Split in the summer of 2004. On 31 January 2009, he moved from Luch-Energiya of the Russian Premier League to German side 1. FC Kaiserslautern. Pablo Munhoz
Pablo Roberto Munhoz Rodríguez (born 31 August 1982 in Rivera) is a Uruguayan football midfielder playing for Tabaré Pireápolis F.C.. Club career Munhoz played much of his early career with Defensor Sporting in the Uruguayan Primera División before signing in 2004 with Croatian HNK Hajduk Split where he will play three seasons and help them win the 2005 Championship. Almir Turković
Almir Turković (born 3 November 1970) is a Bosnian retired professional football forward and manager. Turković played for hometown club Sarajevo in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and for clubs in the Croatian Prva HNL and Japanese J2 League. Club career Turković played for Zadar, Osijek and Hajduk Split in the Croatian Prva HNL and later played for Sarajevo in the Bosnian Premier League. He also played in Austria, Mexico for Tigres UANL during the 1995–96 season and Japan. Mario Carević
Mario Carević (born 29 March 1982) is a Croatian professional football manager and former player who played as a midfielder. Carević made his debut for the Croatia national team in a friendly match against Macedonia in 2003. While he was a regular for the Croatian youth selections from under-15 to under-21, he was capped only once for the senior national team. Club career Carević started his professional career at Hajduk Split, playing five seasons before moving to Saudi Arabia to play for Al-Ittihad (Jeddah).
