2004 All-SEC Football Team
The 2004 All-SEC football team consists of American football players selected to the All-Southeastern Conference (SEC) chosen by the ''Associated Press'' (AP) and the conference coaches for the 2004 NCAA Division I-A football season. The Auburn Tigers won the conference, beating the Tennessee Volunteers 38 to 28 in the SEC Championship Game. Despite finishing the season undefeated, the Tigers were not invited to the National Championship Game, and won the Sugar Bowl over the Virginia Tech Hokies 16 to 13. Auburn quarterback Jason Campbell was voted AP SEC Offensive Player of the Year. Georgia defensive end David Pollack, a unanimous AP selection, was voted AP SEC Defensive Player of the Year. David Pollack
David M. Pollack (born June 19, 1982) is a former professional American football linebacker who played in two seasons in the National Football League (NFL), having suffered a career-ending injury in the second game of his second season. He played college football for the University of Georgia, was a three-time All-American, and was recognized as the top college defensive player in the nation. Pollack had 36 sacks during his collegiate career, third most in NCAA history. He was a first-round pick in the 2005 NFL Draft, and played professionally for the NFL's Cincinnati Bengals. Andrew Whitworth
Andrew James Whitworth (born December 12, 1981) is a former American football tackle who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 16 seasons. He spent his first 11 seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals and his final five with the Los Angeles Rams. Noted for the longevity of his career, he retired as the oldest tackle in NFL history and was the oldest offensive lineman to win a Super Bowl. Marcus McNeill (born November 16, 1983) is a former American college and professional football player who was an offensive tackle in the National Football League (NFL) for six seasons. He played college football for Auburn University, and was two-time All-American. Tim Duckworth (American Football)
Tim Duckworth (born September 14, 1982) is a former American football guard. He was signed by the Denver Broncos as an undrafted free agent in 2007. He played college football at Auburn. Duckworth has also been a member of the New Orleans Saints, Philadelphia Eagles and Carolina Panthers of the National Football League. Duckworth was a member of the Saints practice squad during their 2007 and 2008 seasons, and then after a 2008 post-season stint on the Eagles practice squad, he rejoined the Saints practice squad for their Super Bowl-winning 2009 season. After graduating from Cartersville High School in Georgia, Brown attended Auburn University to play college football for the Auburn Tigers. Carnell Lamar "Cadillac" Williams (born April 21, 1982) is an American football coach and former running back in the National Football League. Williams was the interim head coach of the Auburn Tigers, the first African American to hold the position in Auburn history. He played college football at Auburn.
