2004 All-Ireland Senior Camogie Championship
The 2004 All-Ireland Senior Camogie Championship—known as the Foras na Gaeilge All-Ireland Senior Camogie Championship for sponsorship reasons—was the high point of the 2004 season, the centenary year for the sport of camogie. The championship was won by Tipperary who defeated Cork by an eight-point margin in the final. The attendance was a then record of 24,567. Group stages Antrim staged their match with Kilkenny in Cushendall as part of the Glens Feis who were also celebrating their centenary in 2004. Cork had beaten Tipperary by 3-7 to 1-6 in the group stages of the National Camogie League. Semi-finals As part of the centenary celebrations the two semi-finals were televised live by RTÉ for the first time. Moneygall GAA
Moneygall GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in County Tipperary in Republic of Ireland, Ireland. Both hurling and Gaelic football are played in the North Tipperary divisional championships, although the club is mainly known for hurling. The club represents the parish of Dunkerrin, which includes the villages of Moneygall, Dunkerrin and Barna. Cashel King Cormacs GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in the town of Cashel, County Tipperary in Ireland. They play their games in Leahy Park, on the Clonmel Road in Cashel. Jovita Delaney (born 1974) is an Irish sportsperson. She played senior camogie with Tipperary and Cashel Camogie Club, winning All-Star awards in 2005 and 2006, a Lynchpin award, predecessor of the All Star awards, in 2003 and All Ireland medals in 1999, 2000, 2001, 2003 and 2004. Early life Jovita Delaney was born in Boherlahan near Cashel, County Tipperary in 1974. She grew up surrounded by an atmosphere of hurling activity. Her father had played with his local club in his youth and was heavily involved in coaching the local juvenile teams. The family’s association with the game stretches back almost one hundred years as Arthur O'Donnell, a cousin, won All-Ireland medals with Tipperary in 1916 and 1925. Delaney frequently attended games with her family, however, it was not until she attended Scoil Mhuire in Cashel that she first became involved in competitive camogie. Croke Park ( ga, Páirc an Chrócaigh, ) is a Gaelic games stadium in Dublin, Ireland. Named after Archbishop Thomas Croke, it is referred to as Croker by GAA fans and locals.
