2003–04 Southampton F.C. Season
The 2003-04 season was Southampton F.C's 26th consecutive season in the top flight of English football, and it was the club's 119th year in existence. The season started on the 16th of August 2003 and ended on the 15th of May 2004. It was Gordon Strachan, Gordon Stratchan's last season as Southampton's manager. The team was eliminated on the third round of the FA Cup, losing 3-0 to Newcastle United F.C., Newcastle United, the match was broadcast live by the BBC. Michael Svensson
Michael Lennart Svensson (born 25 November 1975) is a Swedish former professional footballer who played as a centre back. He represented IFK Värnamo, Halmstads BK, Troyes, and Southampton during a career that spanned between 1995 and 2013. Kevin Phillips (footballer)
Kevin Mark Phillips (born 25 July 1973) is an English former professional footballer who was most recently the head coach of club AFC Fylde. A striker, Phillips started his career with Southampton but failed to make the first team and was released. He then signed for non-League side Baldock Town where he impressed, earning a move to Watford in 1994. In 1997, Phillips signed for First Division club Sunderland. In his first season he scored 35 goals in all competitions, the most goals in a season for a Sunderland player since the Second World War as well as being the league's top goalscorer. Stephen Crainey
Stephen Daniel Crainey (born 22 June 1981) is a Scottish former professional footballer whose most recent job was as assistant manager for Bolton Wanderers. A left back, he made 319 appearances in the Premier League and Football League, including 214 for Blackpool. Claus Lundekvam
Claus Lundekvam (born 22 February 1973) is a Norwegian former professional footballer who played as a centre-back. Lundekvam began his career with Brann before moving to English side Southampton in 1996 where he played until his retirement in 2008. He made a total of 413 appearances for the club, of which 290 were in the Premier League, and was the team's captain for several years. He notably played for Southampton in the 2003 FA Cup Final against Arsenal. Lundekvam was capped 40 times for Norway and often captained the national team. Graeme Pierre Le Saux ( ; born 17 October 1968) is an English former professional footballer and television pundit. As a versatile left sided player he played most of his career at left back with two spells at Chelsea, Blackburn Rovers, Southampton, and for the England national football team. Le Saux started his career in his native Jersey before moving to England when he signed for Chelsea in 1987. Jason Robert Dodd (born 2 November 1970) is an English football coach and former professional footballer. As a player, he was a full-back who notably spent sixteen-years playing for Southampton where the majority of those came in the Premier League.
