2003–04 Glasgow Warriors Season
The 2003-04 season is the eighth in the history of the Glasgow Warriors as a professional side. During this season the young professional side competed as Glasgow Rugby. The 2003-04 season saw Glasgow Rugby compete in the competitions: the Celtic League; the European Challenge Cup, the Parker Pen Challenge Cup for sponsorship reasons; and the inaugural Celtic Cup. Glasgow Warriors
Glasgow Warriors are a professional rugby union side from Scotland. The team plays in the United Rugby Championship league and in the European Professional Club Rugby tournaments. In the 2014–15 season they won the Pro12 title and became the first Scottish team to win a major trophy in rugby union's professional era. The side is known for its fast, dynamic and attacking style of play, using offloads and quick rucks. Defensively the club prides itself on its 'Fortress Scotstoun' where the club play at home. Alan Brown (rugby Union)
Alan Brown (born 10 September 1980 in Dundee, Scotland) is a former Scotland Club XV international rugby union player for Glasgow Warriors, who played at the Tighthead Prop position, although he could also be used in the Back Row if necessitated. Alan also went on to be a very successful coach after his player and assistant coach days. In 2018 he moved to Strathmore RFC, and in his first season they won the league and gained promotion as well as the quarter-finals of the Scottish cup. Alan then returned to Dundee rugby as head coach for the latter 2020 season. The team competes in the Scottish National League Division One. Graeme Beveridge
Graeme Beveridge (born 17 February 1976) is a rugby union manager who is a former rugby union footballer. He previously played at scrum-half for Edinburgh Rugby, Glasgow Warriors, Bristol and Scotland. A leg injury kept him from playing in 1998–99, though he did manage one competitive game in 1998-99's WRU Challenge Cup against Newport RFC. Roland Reid
Roland Reid (born 13 September 1978) is a Scottish rugby union coach and former professional player. He played twice for in 2001, for Scotland 7s and played professional club rugby for Glasgow Warriors, London Irish, Leeds Tykes and Edinburgh. Born in Middelburg, South Africa, Reid also played Currie Cup rugby for Golden Lions and Boland Cavaliers. Reid could play at either flanker, Number Eight or Wing. Jon Petrie
Jonathan Michael Petrie (born 19 October 1976) is a Scottish rugby union executive and former player. During his active career he played at flanker for Glasgow Warriors and Scotland. Petrie had two seasons in Scotland's under-21 team, making his debut against the Irish in 1997 while he was playing in France with Colomiers. Petrie's Scotland A debut was in the 99–0 win over the Netherlands at Murrayfield in December 1999. Rory McKay
Rory McKay (born 2 February 1979 in Scotland) is a Scottish rugby union former footballer and now coach who played for Glasgow Warriors. He played at flanker. He played at international level for the Scotland Sevens side. Starting his amateur career at Gordonians RFC, McKay then moved to Glasgow Hawks. In 2002, he left the Hawks to sign for the professional provincial side Glasgow Warriors. While not playing for the provincial side, he played for Aberdeen Grammar. Donald John Hunter Macfadyen (born 11 October 1979) is a former Scotland international rugby union player. He played as a Flanker. He made over 100 appearances for Glasgow Warriors from 1999 to 2008. Matt Proudfoot
Matthew Proudfoot (born 30 January 1972) is a South African rugby union coach and former player who represented Scotland. He is currently an assistant coach with the Namibia national team. He was an assistant coach with South Africa, winning the 2019 World Cup. In January 2020 he became forwards coach for England, and left at the end of 2022. He had a coaching spell at Stellenbosch University before joining Namibia as their forwards coach for the 2023 Rugby World Cup.
