Mercedes Fernández
Lola Montes (September 24, 1898 – January 18, 1983) was a Spanish singer whose real name was Mercedes Fernández. She began in the artistic world as a dancer at the Teatro Real in Madrid. Later, she performed as a singer in different Zarzuela performances and still later, she was an interpreter of cuplés. On July 20, 1921, she premiered the cuplé at the Teatro Vital in Málaga, with lyrics by Fidel Prado Duque and music by Juan Costa Casals, obtaining enormous success. Shortly after, she performed it in Melilla and the song, after being adapted, became the official hymn of the Spanish Legion. Throughout her professional career, Montes performed in numerous theaters in Spain, including the Teatro de la Teatro de la Zarzuela, Teatro Apolo in Valencia, Gran Casino in San Sebastián, Teatro Eldorado in Barcelona, Salón Imperial in Seville, and Teatro Circo in Zaragoza. Carissa Gump (née Gordon) (born August 24, 1983, in Stone Ridge, New York) is an American weightlifter. She is a multiple-time American record holder, a five-time consecutive American Open champion (2002–2006), and a resident athlete of the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She is also the wife of Jason Gump, a competitive weightlifter who placed fifth for the 94 kg class at the 2003 Pan American Games in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Hripsime Khurshudyan
Hripsime Khurshudyan ( hy, Հռիփսիմե Խուրշուդյան, born July 27, 1987 in Kasakh, Armenian SSR) is an Armenian weightlifter. Early life Hripsime was born in the village Kasakh in the Nairi region of Armenian SSR. She has been training in weightlifting since she was 15 under the honored coach of Armenia, Sarmen Yesayan. Career Khurshudyan won a silver medal at the 2006 European Weightlifting Championships. She became the first woman weightlifter from the independent Republic of Armenia to win a medal at the European Weightlifting Championships. The following year, she and Meline Daluzyan became the first Armenian female weightlifters to become European Champions at the 2007 European Weightlifting Championships. Luz Acosta
Luz Mercedes Acosta Tollefson (born December 22, 1980, in Guaymas, Sonora, Mexico) is a Mexican former weightlifter who competed for her native country at the Olympic level. She made her Olympic debut at the 2008 Summer Olympics, where she finished in 8th place. Kim Soo-Kyung (also ''Kim Su-Gyeong'', ko, 김 수경; born August 6, 1985) is a South Korean weightlifter. She won a silver medal for the 63 kg class at the 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou, China, with a total of 240 kilograms. Kim made her official debut for the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, where she competed for the women's middleweight class (63 kg).
