2003 Scott Tournament Of Hearts
The 2003 Scott Tournament of Hearts was held at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium in Kitchener, Ontario from February 15 to 23. The defending champion, Colleen Jones won the right to represent "Canada" and she would go on to win her third straight championship. From here, she would go on to the 2003 Ford World Curling Championship where she won silver. Winnipeg () is the capital and largest city of the province of Manitoba in Canada. The Fort Rouge Curling Club is a curling club located in the Fort Rouge district of Winnipeg, Manitoba. History The Fort Rouge Curling Club joined the Manitoba Curling Association in 1915, while the Fort Rouge Ladies Curling Club was one of the founding members of the Manitoba Ladies Curling Association in 1924. In 1919, the first Fort Rouge Curling Club rink was built at the corner of Kylemore Avenue and Osborne Street. This building would later be demolished, and a new facility was built in 1959, a few blocks away on Daly Street where it stands today. Champions Men's The Rouge was the home club of the 1972 World Championship winning team of Orest Meleschuk, Dave Romano, John Hanesiak and Pat Hailley, a team most notable for the " Curse of LaBonte" incident. Jacquie Armstrong
Jacquie Armstrong (born March 19, 1976) is a Canadian curler from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. She previously played lead for the Kelly Scott rink. Armstrong joined the rink in 2009, replacing Renee Simons. Prior to 2009, Armstrong played second for Jody Maskiewich. In total, Armstrong has played in seven provincial championships (2000, 2001, 2002, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011) including two where she won with the Scott rink (2010 and 2011). At the 2010 Scotties Tournament of Hearts, the team finished in 4th place. At the 2003 Scott Tournament of Hearts she was an alternate for the Toni Fister B.C. rink, but did not play any games.
