The 2003 Ondrej Nepela Memorial was the 11th edition of an annual senior-level international figure skating competition held in Bratislava, Slovakia. Ondrej Nepela Memorial
The Nepela Memorial ( sk, Memoriál Ondreja Nepelu), formerly known as the Ondrej Nepela Trophy in 2013–15 & 2017 and the Ondrej Nepela Memorial, is an annual senior-level international figure skating competition. Named after Figure skating at the 1972 Winter Olympics, 1972 Olympic champion Ondrej Nepela, the competition has been held annually since 1993. It became part of the ISU Challenger Series in the 2014–15 season. The competition is generally held in Slovakia's capital, Bratislava, except 2009 when it was held in Piešťany. In most years, medals are awarded in four disciplines – single skating, men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, pairs, and ice dancing. Karen Venhuizen (born 4 April 1984) is a Dutch former competitive figure skater. She is the 2003 Triglav Trophy champion, the 2007 International Challenge Cup champion, and a nine-time (2000–08) Dutch national champion. She qualified for the free skate at seven ISU Championships – two World and five European Championships. Her best placement, 14th, came at the 2008 Europeans. Julia Lautowa (russian: Юлия Лаутова; born 5 October 1981) is an Austrian former competitive figure skater in ladies' singles. She is the 1996 Cup of Russia silver medalist, a two-time Karl Schäfer Memorial champion, and a six-time Austrian national champion. She placed in the top ten at five ISU Championships.
