National League Central
The National League Central is one of Major League Baseball's six divisions. This division was created in 1994, by moving two teams from the National League West (the Cincinnati Reds and the Houston Astros) and three teams from the National League East (the Chicago Cubs, the Pittsburgh Pirates, and the St. Louis Cardinals). When the division was created in 1994, the Pirates were originally supposed to stay in the East while the Atlanta Braves were to be moved to the Central from the West. However, the Braves, wanting to form a natural rivalry with the expansion Florida Marlins, requested to remain in the East. Despite the Marlins offering to go to the Central, the Pirates instead gave up their spot in the East to the Braves. Since then, the Pirates have tried several times unsuccessfully to be placed back in the East. Scott Seabol
Scott Anthony Seabol (born May 17, 1975 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, United States) is a former Major League Baseball player. He made his Major League Baseball, major league debut on April 8, , with the New York Yankees, but only for a single game. After a short time in the Milwaukee Brewers farm system, he signed with the St. Louis Cardinals on May 27, 2003 and was assigned to their AAA team, the Memphis Redbirds in the Pacific Coast League. After an injury to Scott Rolen, Seabol was promoted from Memphis and played several positions with the Cardinals in a backup role, primarily third base. In , he was signed by the Florida Marlins and invited to spring training as a non-roster invitee. Gary Wayne Franklin (born March 9, 1974) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. He played seven seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Houston Astros (2000-2001), Milwaukee Brewers (2002-2003), San Francisco Giants (2004), New York Yankees (2005), and Atlanta Braves (2006). Franklin bats and throws left-handed. Career Franklin was originally drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 36th round of the 1996 amateur draft out of the University of Maryland. John Foster (baseball)
John Norman Foster (born May 17, 1978) is an American former professional baseball pitcher and currently pitching coach for the Chinatrust Brothers of the Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL). Career Foster was drafted by the Atlanta Braves in the 25th round of the 1999 Major League Baseball draft. Foster began his big league career with the Braves in , after being called up from the Triple-A Richmond Braves. In his rookie season, he went 1-0 with a 10.80 earned run average and 6 strikeouts. Michael Dwain DeJean (; born September 28, 1970) is a former right-handed relief pitcher in Major League Baseball. Career DeJean played shortstop during his college career at Mississippi Delta Community College and Livingston University. Michael Christopher Crudale (born January 3, 1977) is a former professional baseball pitcher who played two seasons at the major league level with the St. Louis Cardinals and Milwaukee Brewers in 2002–03. MLB career Selected by the Cardinals in the 24th round of the 1999 amateur entry draft, Crudale played his first professional season with their Rookie League team, the Johnson City Cardinals in 1999. After moving up the Cardinals chain, Crudale made the big club out of spring training in 2002 and pitched well, with a 3–0 mark and a 1.88 ERA out of the bullpen (plus one start).
