The 2003 Conference USA Baseball Tournament was the 2003 postseason baseball championship of the NCAA Division I Conference USA, held at Turchin Stadium in New Orleans, Louisiana from May 21–25. Southern Miss defeated Tulane in the championship game, earning the conference's automatic bid to the 2003 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. A double-elimination tournament is a type of elimination tournament competition in which a participant ceases to be eligible to win the tournament's championship upon having lost ''two'' games or matches. It stands in contrast to a single-elimination tournament, in which only ''one'' defeat results in elimination. The Charlotte 49ers baseball team, commonly referred to as Charlotte, represents the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in NCAA Division I college baseball. Established in 1979, the team is a member of the Conference USA. The team plays its home games at Robert & Mariam Hayes Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina, and are currently coached by Robert Woodard. Billy Mohl
William T. Mohl (born June 1, 1984) is an American baseball coach, who is the current the head baseball coach of the South Florida Bulls. Mohl played baseball for the Tulane Green Wave baseball team while obtaining a degree. Playing career Mohl played college baseball at Tulane University during the 2003 through 2006 seasons. As a freshman in 2003, Mohl was named to the Conference USA All-Freshman team. After the 2003 season, he played collegiate summer baseball for the Falmouth Commodores of the Cape Cod Baseball League, and was named a league all-star. Mohl completed his career at Tulane with a 25–7 record. He still ranks in the top 10 in several pitching categories at the school. The Cincinnati Bearcats baseball team represents The University of Cincinnati in NCAA Division I intercollegiate men's baseball competition.
