2002–03 Sporting De Gijón Season
The 2002–03 Sporting de Gijón season was the fifth consecutive season of the club in Segunda División after its last relegation from La Liga. Overview On 7 October 2002, Pepe Acebal was sacked as manager, after earning only two points in the first five games. Antonio Maceda replaced him and, despite not winning any game until the round 11, he managed the team until the end of the season. On 7 March 2003, due to the incidents during the match against Numancia at El Molinón, the Spanish Committee of Sporting Discipline agreed the closure of the stadium for one game. This match, played against Almería, on 7 June 2003 at Antonio Amilivia stadium in León.Sporting-Almería, en León

Sporting De Gijón
Real Sporting de Gijón, S.A.D. (), commonly known as Real Sporting, Sporting Gijón, or simply Sporting (although in an international context this can lead to confusion with Sporting Clube de Portugal) is a Spanish football club from Gijón, Principality of Asturias. Founded on 1 July 1905, it plays in La Liga Santander. Known as ''Los Rojiblancos'' because of their red and white striped jerseys, their home ground is El Molinón stadium, the oldest professional football ground in Spain, in use since at least 1908. Igor Taševski
Igor Taševski (; born 25 July 1972) is a Serbian former professional footballer who played as a defender. Career Taševski came through the youth system at Rad at the same time as Željko Cicović and Zoran Mirković, notably winning the Yugoslav youth championship in 1989. He made his senior debut during the 1990–91 Yugoslav First League. In the summer of 1994, Taševski was transferred to Partizan. He spent four seasons with the club, winning back-to-back league titles in 1996 and 1997. In the summer of 1998, Taševski moved abroad and signed with Spanish club Villarreal. He helped them return to La Liga after just one year while contributing with 35 games (33 starts). Following spells at Elche and Sporting Gijón, Taševski returned to his homeland and retired with Voždovac in 2006. Manel Martínez Fernández (born 3 November 1973), known simply as Manel, is a Spanish former professional footballer who played as a centre-forward. During his extensive career, he was mainly associated to Logroñés. Club career Born in Ripollet, Barcelona, Catalonia, Manel started his career with local CE Sabadell FC, signing for CD Logroñés in 1995 and scoring 27 Segunda División goals in his first year, with La Liga promotion. In the following season the Riojan side were relegated again, but he proceeded to add a further 44 goals over the next three second-tier campaigns, being one of the club's all-time best. Cristian Fabián Díaz Sichi (born 18 May 1976 in Buenos Aires) is an Argentine retired footballer who played as a central defender.
