The 2002–03 Segunda Liga season was the 13th season of the competition and the 69th season of recognised second-tier football in Portugal. Overview The league was contested by 18 teams with Rio Ave FC winning the championship and gaining promotion to the Primeira Liga along with FC Alverca and Estrela Amadora. At the other end of the table Leça FC and União Lamas were relegated to the Segunda Divisão along with SC Farense who were relegated for financial reasons. CD Aves
Clube Desportivo das Aves (), commonly known as Desportivo das Aves, or simply as Aves, was a Portuguese football club based in Vila das Aves, Santo Tirso. The club was founded on 12 November 1930 and plays at the Estádio do Clube Desportivo das Aves, which holds a seating capacity of 6,230. As a sports club, it has football schools for junior players and two futsal teams for both men and women, as well as a football trial system to help younger players come through the academy. The club's official supporters' group was the ''Força Avense''. The 2003–04 Segunda Divisão season was the 70th season of the competition and the 54th season of recognised third-tier football in Portugal. Overview The league was contested by 59 teams in 3 divisions with SC Espinho, Gondomar SC and SC Olhanense winning the respective divisional competitions and gaining promotion to the Liga de Honra. 2003–04 Primeira Liga
The 2003–04 Primeira Liga was the 70th edition of top flight of Portuguese football. It started 16 August 2003 with an opening game between Académica de Coimbra and Sporting Clube de Portugal, and ended on 9 May 2004. It was contested by 18 teams. FC Porto were the defending champions and became champions again, winning the Portuguese title in two consecutive seasons. The first goal of the season was scored by Académica's Filipe Alvim in the opening game against Sporting CP. The first red card of the season was given to Paços de Ferreira's Portuguese midfielder Pedrinha in the 3rd game of the season against Nacional and the first yellow card was given to Sporting's Portuguese midfielder Custódio in the opening game of the season. FC Felgueiras
Futebol Clube de Felgueiras was a Portuguese football club from Felgueiras. The club was founded on 16 August 1936 and ended in 2005 due to financial problems. The club played at the Estádio Dr. Machado de Matos which was their home since the club was founded in the 1930s. Futebol Clube do Marco was a Portuguese football team based in Marco de Canaveses, Porto District. Founded in 1927, it held home games at '' Estádio Municipal de Marco de Canaveses'', which has a 6,530 seat capacity. It might return to its original name for the 2025–26 season. Associação Desportiva Ovarense commonly known as simply as Ovarense is a Portuguese sports club from the city of Ovar, Aveiro. The club was founded on 19 December 1921. Sport Comércio e Salgueiros (), commonly known as simply Salgueiros, is a Portuguese multi-sports club from the city of Porto, in the northern region of the country.
