Jomo Cosmos
Jomo Cosmos are a South African association football club based in Johannesburg that plays in the National First Division. The club is owned and coached by South African football legend Jomo Sono. In the 2021-2022 National First Division season the club was relegated to the Third Division stream of professional football in South Africa. History The club was founded on 29 January 1983, upon the remnants of the previously well-known and successful club Highlands Park, which Sono opted to buy when he ended his playing career in the United States. 2003 CAF Cup
The 2003 CAF Cup was the 12th and final edition of the African continental club competition for runners up of the respective domestic leagues. It was won by Moroccan team Raja Casablanca who beat Cotonsport Garoua from Cameroon over two legs in the final. The 2004 CAF Champions League was the 40th edition of the CAF Champions League, the Africa's premier club football tournament prize organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF). Enyimba of Nigeria defeated Étoile du Sahel of Tunisia in the final to win their second title. A ria (; gl, ría) is a coastal inlet formed by the partial submergence of an unglaciated river valley. It is a drowned river valley that remains open to the sea. Definitions Typically rias have a dendritic, treelike outline although they can be straight and without significant branches. This pattern is inherited from the dendritic drainage pattern of the flooded river valley. The drowning of river valleys along a stretch of coast and formation of rias results in an extremely irregular and indented coastline. Hellenic FC is a South African association football club based in Cape Town. They were nicknamed ''The Greek Gods''. Established in 1958 by Greek South Africans, Hellenic campaigned in the lower amateur leagues of Cape Town. But by the 1970s they were one of the leading teams in the country and regularly pulled in crowds of more than 20,000. They were champions in 1971 and runners-up in 1972 and 1975. Hellenic reached the final of the Cup competition then widely known as ''Castle Cup'' in 1976, losing 2–0 to Cape Town City. Manning Rangers is a now defunct South African Association Football, football club based in Durban. The side is best remembered as the Champions of the Inaugural season of South Africa's Premier Soccer League. History The club was founded in 1928 by GR Naidoo who, as well as administering the club, played as its goalkeeper and was later a referee. Black Leopards FC is a South African football club based in Thohoyandou, Vhembe Region, Limpopo that plays in the National First Division. History The club was founded in 1983 by business people in the Vhembe Region. In 1998 the club was taken over by the Thidiela family. Mamelodi Sundowns Football Club (simply known as Sundowns) is a South African professional football club based in Mamelodi, Pretoria in the Gauteng province that plays in the Premier Soccer League, the first tier of South African football league system.
