Regular Season
In an organized sports league, a typical season is the portion of one year in which regulated games of the sport are in session: for example, in Major League Baseball the season lasts approximately from the last week of March to the last week of September. In other team sports, like association football or basketball, it is generally from August or September to May although in some countries - such as Northern Europe or East Asia - the season starts in the spring and finishes in autumn, mainly due to weather conditions encountered during the winter. Christian Dubé (ice Hockey)
Christian Dubé (born April 25, 1977) is a Canadian/ Swiss ice hockey executive and former professional right winger. He is currently the sports director of HC Fribourg-Gottéron in the Swiss National League A. Biography Dubé was born in Sherbrooke, Quebec. He is the son of former pro hockey player Norm Dubé. As a youth, Dubé played in the 1990 and 1991 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournaments with a minor ice hockey team from Sherbrooke. He spent many years growing up in Switzerland, while his father was playing there. He returned to Canada as a teenager, and played for the Sherbrooke Faucons of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. In 1995, he was drafted by the New York Rangers with the 39th pick. He made his debut with the Rangers in the 1996–97 season. He would play another 6 games with the Rangers in 1998–99. André Rötheli (born October 12, 1970) is a Swiss former professional ice hockey centre. Mike Maneluk
Mike Maneluk (born October 1, 1973) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey left winger. Playing career Maneluk played three seasons for the Brandon Wheat Kings of the Western Hockey League and one for the Canadian National Team before becoming a professional. He averaged nearly a point per game in the American Hockey League with the Baltimore Bandits, Worcester IceCats, and Philadelphia Phantoms over the course of his career. Maneluk won the Jack A. Butterfield Trophy as MVP of the 1998 Calder Cup Playoffs, and led the league in scoring in the 1999–2000 season. He went to Switzerland for the 2001–02 season, playing with HC Lugano in the Swiss National League for four seasons. He then joined EV Zug, and played several seasons with the team. Brandon Convery
Brandon William Convery (born February 4, 1974) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player who played briefly in the NHL with the Toronto Maple Leafs, Vancouver Canucks, and Los Angeles Kings. He played center and shot right-handed. Playing career Convery began his career with the Sudbury Wolves of the OHL. For the 1991–1992 season Convery scored 40 goals in 44 games. His stellar play caught the eye of NHL scouts and he was drafted in the 1st round, 8th overall by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 1992 NHL Entry Draft. After being drafted Convery returned to the OHL for the majority of the 1992–1993 season and also made his pro debut, appearing in 3 games with the St. John's Maple Leafs of the AHL. Adrian Wichser
Adrian Wichser (born March 18, 1980) is a retired Swiss ice hockey winger, who played for different clubs in the Swiss National League A (NLA), including EHC Kloten, HC Lugano, ZSC Lions and Rapperswil-Jona Lakers. He won the Swiss national championship in 2003 and 2008 as well as the Champions Hockey League in 2009. Wichser was the leading scorer of the NLA in the 2002-03 campaign. Christopher William Tancill (born February 7, 1968) is an American former professional ice hockey right winger who played in the National Hockey League (NHL). Biography Tancill was born in Livonia, Michigan. As a youth, he played in the 1981 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament with a minor ice hockey team from Southfield, Michigan. Tancill was drafted by the Hartford Whalers in the 1989 NHL Supplemental Draft. After playing four seasons at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, Tancill made his professional debut with the American Hockey League's Springfield Indians in the 1990–91 season and was one of the stars leading the team to the Calder Cup championship in that year. Derek Plante
Derek John Plante (born January 17, 1971) is an American ice hockey coach and former professional ice hockey player. Plante played eight seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Buffalo Sabres, Dallas Stars, Chicago Blackhawks and Philadelphia Flyers. He was a member of the 1999 Stanley Cup champion Dallas Stars. He was an assistant coach at the University of Minnesota-Duluth from 2010-2015 before returning to the program as Associate Head Coach in 2020, a position he holds to this day. Christian Matte (born January 20, 1975) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey right winger who played briefly in the NHL with the Colorado Avalanche and Minnesota Wild. Playing career As a youth, Matte played in the 1988 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament with the a minor ice hockey team from Hull, Quebec. Matte first played competitive major junior hockey with Abitibi Forestiers in the Quebec QAAA before moving on the Granby Bisons in the QMJHL. In his first season in 1992–93 he complied 53 points in 68 games to be named in the QMJHL All-Rookie Team. Matte was consequently drafted by the Quebec Nordiques in the 6th round, 153rd overall in the 1993 NHL Entry Draft. Jaroslav Hlinka
Jaroslav Hlinka (born November 10, 1976 in Prague, Czechoslovakia) is a Czech former professional ice hockey forward who played in the National Hockey League for the Colorado Avalanche. He is currently the Sports manager for his longtime club, HC Sparta Praha of the Czech Extraliga. Playing career Hlinka began playing ice hockey at the age of four. When he was fourteen, HC Sparta Praha of the Czech Extraliga offered him a chance on their junior team and he accepted.
