Oklahoma Insurance Commissioner
The Oklahoma Insurance Commissioner is an elected executive officer of the state of Oklahoma. The Insurance Commissioner serves as the head of the Oklahoma Insurance Department. The Oklahoma Insurance Department is charged with executing all laws relating to insurance and insurance companies doing business in the State. The current Insurance Commissioner is Glen Mulready who was elected in November 2018 and took the oath of office on January 14, 2019. Qualifications In order to serve as the Insurance Commissioner, a candidate must be at least twenty-five years old, a resident of the State for at least five years prior to their election, and have had at least five years' experience in the insurance industry in administration, sales, servicing or regulation. Oklahoma Congressional Districts
As of the 2010 census, there are five United States congressional districts in Oklahoma. It was one of the states that was able to keep the same number of congressional districts from the previous census (in the past, Oklahoma has had as many as nine House of Representatives seats). Following the 2018 elections, a Democratic challenger ousted a Republican incumbent, changing the congressional delegation to a 4-1 Republican majority. The Republicans regained the seat in 2020 when Stephanie Bice defeated Horn. Along with Vermont & Delaware, Oklahoma has never gained a Congressional seat. Jeff Cloud is an American Republican politician from the U.S. state of Oklahoma. Jeff Cloud was elected statewide to a six-year term on the Oklahoma Corporation Commission on November 5, 2002, and assumed the chairmanship of the Commission in June 2005. Scott Meacham
Scott Meacham (born 1963) served as the 17th State Treasurer of Oklahoma from June, 2005 to January, 2011, having been appointed to that post by then-Governor Brad Henry following the resignation of then-State Treasurer Robert Butkin. Meacham was subsequently elected to a full four-year term as state treasurer defeating the Republican nominee, Howard Barnett Jr., in the November 2006 general election. The Oklahoma House of Representatives is the lower house of the legislature of the U.S. state of Oklahoma. Its members introduce and vote on bills and resolutions, provide legislative oversight for state agencies, and help to craft the state's budget. The upper house of the Oklahoma Legislature is the Oklahoma Senate. The Oklahoma Constitution established the powers of the Oklahoma House of Representatives in 1907.
