The 2002 Polish Speedway season was the 2002 season of motorcycle speedway in Poland. Individual Polish Individual Speedway Championship The 2002 Individual Speedway Polish Championship final was held on 15 August at Toruń. Golden Helmet The 2002 Golden Golden Helmet ( pl, Turniej o Złoty Kask, ZK) organised by the Polish Motor Union (PZM) was the 2002 event for the league's leading riders. The final was held on the 12 October at Bydgoszcz. Robert Sawina
Robert Sawina (born 27 May 1971) is a former motorcycle speedway rider from Poland. Career Baron represented Poland during the 1992 Speedway World Team Cup. He also reached the 1992 Speedway Under-21 World Championship final. He won the silver medal at the Polish Individual Speedway Championship in 2001 and twice won the silver medal in the prestigious Golden Helmet during the 1999 Polish speedway season and 2001 Polish speedway season. Krzysztof Kasprzak
Krzysztof Kasprzak (; born 18 July 1984 in Leszno, Poland) is an international speedway rider who became World Under-21 Champion in 2005 and won the silver medal during the 2014 Speedway Grand Prix. He also won five World team titles. He is a son of former Polish national speedway team member Zenon Kasprzak. Brother Robert is also a speedway rider. Career summary Kasprzak became the European Champion in 2003 after winning the 2003 Individual Speedway European Championship. He also made his British speedway debut after joining Poole Pirates. The following year in 2004, he broke into the Poland team, representing them in the 2004 Speedway World Cup. In 2005, he won European Pairs Championship and Under-21 World Cup for Poland. He had been a wild card rider in four Speedway Grand Prix, in 2004 and 2007 at Bydgoszcz and in 2005 and 2006 at Wrocław and then became a permanent rider for the 2008 series after being awarded a wild card place. Roman Jankowski
Roman Jankowski (born 5 October 1957 in Kościan, Poland) is a speedway rider active from 1976 until 2006. He is a former Polish Champion, having won the title in 1981 and again in 1988. Roman has also represented Poland at the World Team Cup. He rode for the Hackney Hawks in 1980 and 1981. Currently he is the youth coach and manager of Unia Leszno. Roman's three sons, Łukasz, Marcin and Norbert are all speedway riders.
