2002 FIFA World Cup Qualification
The 2002 FIFA World Cup qualification competition was a series of tournaments organised by the six FIFA confederations. Each confederation — the AFC (Asia), CAF (Africa), CONCACAF (North, Central America and Caribbean), CONMEBOL (South America), OFC (Oceania), and UEFA (Europe) — was allocated a certain number of the 32 places at the tournament. 199 teams entered the tournament qualification rounds, competing for 32 spots in the final tournament. South Korea and Japan, as the co-hosts, and France, as the defending champions, qualified automatically, leaving 29 spots open for competition. Chaswe Ronald Nsofwa (22 October 1978 – 29 August 2007) was a Zambian international footballer who played as a striker. He died during a training match in Be'er Sheva, Israel. Early life Nsofwa was born on 22 October 1978 in Lusaka, Zambia. Career International career He was part of the Zambian African Nations Cup team in 2002. Jehad Abdussalam Muntasser (; born 26 July 1978) is a Libyan former football midfielder. Career Muntasser started his career at Italian club Pro Sesto, before being signed by English Premier League club Arsenal in 1997. Mateus Manuel Agostinho (born 28 July 1974), commonly known as Bodunha, is an Angolan retired footballer who played as a right back. Club career Born in Luanda, Portuguese Angola, Bodunha started and ended his 13-year professional career at Atlético Petróleos de Luanda. Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Yaoundé, Cameroon. It is used mostly for association football, football matches and it also has athletics facilities. It was built in 1972.
