The 2002 Buy.com Tour was the 13th season of the Buy.com Tour, the official development tour to the PGA Tour. Schedule The following table lists official events during the 2002 season. Hershey Open (Buy
The Hershey Open was a golf tournament in Pennsylvania on the PGA Tour from 1933 to 1941. It was played at the Hershey Country Club in Hershey on what is now called the West Course. It was played as a 72-hole stroke play event every year except 1938. That year, it was played as a 126-hole round-robin match play tournament with eight two-man teams and called the Hershey Four-Ball; its format was identical to the one used by the Inverness Invitational Four-Ball. The event was not held in 1940, when the club hosted the PGA Championship. Three times it was won by the resident golf pro—Henry Picard in 1936 and 1937 and Ben Hogan in his first year at Hershey in 1941. Darron Stiles
Darron Gary Stiles (born June 1, 1973) is an American professional golfer. Stiles was born in St. Petersburg, Florida. He was a three-time All-America at Florida Southern College and was a member of the 1995 NCAA Division II National Championship team. Stiles played on the Nationwide Tour in 1997, 1999–2002, 2004, and 2008 and the PGA Tour in 2003, 2005–07, and 2009. He gained his PGA Tour card for 2007 by finishing tied for 16th at Q-School in 2006 but failed to retain his card, and returned to the Nationwide Tour in 2008. He finished 7th on the Nationwide Tour money list in 2008 and earned his 2009 PGA Tour card. Stiles is the all-time career money leader through his 2012 win at the News Sentinel Open on the Web.com Tour with $1,815,688. Arron Matthew Oberholser (born February 2, 1975) is an American professional golfer and an analyst and commentator for the Golf Channel. Career Oberholser attended San Jose State University. In 1996, as a junior, he won six college golf titles during the regular season, matching Tiger Woods, a sophomore at Stanford University. In the 1996 postseason, competing for college Player of the Year, Woods won the regionals and the NCAA Championship, while Oberholser finished second in every statistical category. Oberholser turned professional in 1998. In 1999 he became an assistant coach for the golf program at Santa Clara University. The PGA Championship of Canada is a golf tournament organized by the PGA of Canada, an organization founded in 1911 at the Royal Ottawa Golf Club. Gary George Hallberg (born May 31, 1958) is an American professional golfer who has played on the PGA Tour, Nationwide Tour, and Champions Tour. Amateur career Hallberg was born in Berwyn, Illinois. He attended Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and was a member of the golf team. He was a member of the 1977 Walker Cup team. In addition, Hallberg was the individual medalist at the 1979 NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championships. There were expectations that he would turn pro at this time. However, Hallberg asserted that he intended to return to Wake Forest for his senior year. Hallberg was the first four-time, first-team All-American in the history of intercollegiate golf. Zoran Zorkic (born Zoran Zorkić; September 5, 1966) is a Serbian born, Australian-American professional golfer who played on the Nationwide Tour. Zorkic joined the Nationwide Tour in 2000.
