2002 All-SEC Football Team
The 2002 All-SEC football team consists of American football players selected to the All-Southeastern Conference (SEC) chosen by the ''Associated Press'' (AP) and the conference coaches for the 2002 NCAA Division I-A football season. The Georgia Bulldogs won the conference, beating the Arkansas Razorbacks 30 to 3 in the SEC Championship game. The Bulldogs went on to defeat the Florida State Seminoles 26 to 13 in the Sugar Bowl. Georgia defensive end David Pollack was voted both the coaches SEC Player of the Year and AP SEC Defensive Player of the Year. David Greene (American Football)
David Norman Greene (born June 22, 1982) is a former American football quarterback. He was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the third round of the 2005 NFL Draft. He played college football at Georgia. Greene has also been a member of the New England Patriots, Kansas City Chiefs, and Indianapolis Colts. He retired following the 2008 season, having never played in a regular season game. Early years While attending South Gwinnett High School in Snellville, Georgia, David Greene was a two-sport standout as a quarterback in football, and as a right fielder in baseball. Stephen Peterman
Stephen Frederick Peterman (born January 11, 1982) is a former American football guard in the National Football League (NFL) for the Dallas Cowboys and Detroit Lions. He played college football at Louisiana State University. Early years Peterman attended Saint Stanislaus College in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, where he was an All-state and a two-time All-district selection at tight end. As a senior, he posted 14 receptions for 150 yards and one touchdown. He also lettered in basketball. He accepted a football scholarship from Louisiana State University. He played college football at Ole Miss. Ben Nowland (born May 27, 1980, in Jacksonville, Florida) is a former American football offensive lineman. He played most recently for the Georgia Force of the Arena Football League. High school years He attended Allen D. Nease Senior High School in Ponte Vedra, Florida and was a student and a letterman in football, wrestling, and track & field. In football, he was a three-year starter. In wrestling, he won a Regional Championship as a senior. In track&field, he was a Regional Champion in the shot put and the discus. Michael Clayton (American Football)
Michael Rashard Clayton (born October 13, 1982) is a former American football wide receiver who played professionally in the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 15th overall in the 2004 NFL draft. He played college football at LSU. Early years Clayton prepped at Christian Life Academy in Baton Rouge where he was one of the most sought after recruits in the nation his senior year. Ronnie G. Brown Jr. (born December 12, 1981) is a former American football running back. After graduating from Cartersville High School in Georgia, Brown attended Auburn University to play college football for the Auburn Tigers. He and Cadillac Williams shared carries at running back, while he had 1,008 yards and 13 touchdowns in 2002, 446 yards and five touchdowns in 2003, and 913 yards and eight touchdowns in 2004.
