2001–02 NSW Premier League Season
The 2001–02 NSW Premier League season was the second season of the revamped NSW Premier League. From the original ten teams in the inaugural version of the Premier League, two more were added for the follow-up tournament. They were Bankstown City Lions and Fairfield Bulls. The Parramatta Eagles took out the double winning the Championship and the Premiership. NSW Premier League
The National Premier Leagues NSW is a semi-professional soccer competition in New South Wales, Australia. The competition is conducted by Football NSW, the organising body in New South Wales (the other being the National Premier Leagues Northern NSW organised by Northern NSW Football). The league is a subdivision of the second tier National Premier Leagues (NPL), which sits below the national A-League. Prior to becoming a subdivision of the NPL in 2013, the league was previously known as the NSW Premier League. Central Coast FC
Central Coast United FC, is a semi-professional soccer club, based and located on the Central Coast of New South Wales. As of the 2022 season, the club's senior teams compete in the NSW League One competitions and the clubs youth team compete in NSW League Two competitions. Senior team history In 2017, the club applied and was granted a licence to compete under from the start of the 2018 season. In both the 2018 and 2019 season, Club Captain Daniel McFarlane won NSW State League Player of the Year. In the club's first season they narrowly lost out on promotion by a single point, an incredible achievement in their first season. The club emphatically bounced back to secure the Grand Final Championship with a victory over Bankstown United. The 2019 season saw Central Coast United again be successful as in July 2019, the club secured promotion to National Premier Leagues NSW 3 with a 3-1 victory over Prospect United in their 2nd ever season. 2009 NSW Premier League Season
The 2009 TeleChoice Premier League season was the ninth season of the revamped NSW Premier League. This season also marked the addition of the Bonnyrigg White Eagles Football Club, promoted from the Super League. The 2009 regular season began on 1 March, and concluded on 9 August. The Finals series commenced a fortnight later. On 13 September the Sutherland Sharks Football Club won their second championship of the year when they defeated Marconi Stallions 4–1 in the Grand Final at CUA Stadium. During the course of the season, all Premier League, Super League and Division teams were involved in the TigerTurf Cup, an equivalent to the English FA Cup with teams competing in a series of elimination games. On 16 August the Sutherland Sharks Football Club were crowned the Cup Champions after defeating Manly United FC 1–0. Sutherland Sharks Football Club is an Australian Association football club based in the suburb of Sutherland in Sydney New South Wales. The club currently competes in the National Premier Leagues NSW. The club's home games are played at Seymour Shaw Park, located in the southern Sydney suburb of Miranda. It recently opened a new academy. It is incorporated as a non-profit club. History The origins of Sutherland Sharks are traced back to the founding of Sutherland United SFC in 1930. Bankstown Berries FC
The Canterbury Bankstown Football Club is a soccer club based in Bankstown, New South Wales. The club currently plays in the NSW League Two after being relegated from the formerly NPL NSW 2 in 2019.(from 2022 known as NSW League One) Canterbury Bankstown hosts matches at The Crest Reserve in Bass Hill, Sydney. Belconnen United FC
Belconnen United Football Club (formerly ''Belconnen Blue Devils'') is an Australian semi-professional association football club based in the northern Canberra region of Belconnen, ACT. The women's First Grade team currently competes in the National Premier Leagues Capital Football. APIA Leichhardt Football Club, also known simply as APIA (Associazione Poli-sportiva Italo Australiana), is a semi-professional soccer club based in the suburb of Leichhardt, New South Wales, Leichhardt in Sydney, Australia. Seymour Shaw Park
Seymour Shaw Park is a football (soccer) stadium in Miranda, New South Wales, Australia. It is the current home ground of the Sutherland Sharks Football Club who play in the state league, the New South Wales Premier League. History Seymour Shaw Park has been the Sharks home ground since the club's move from Sutherland Oval in the late '50s. The ground has continuously been used to host regular season club games along with hosting the TigerTurf Cup, similar to England's FA Cup, with the Grand Final being played at the ground due to the surface being Synthetic which is supplied by TigerTurf Accessories. St George Stadium
St George Soccer Stadium is a soccer stadium in Banksia, New South Wales, Australia. History The ground was opened in 1978 to be the home of St George-Budapest who played in local competition until playing in the national competition at the time, the National Soccer League. The ground occupies a part of Barton Park, next to Muddy Creek, a tributary of the Cooks River in Banksia. Over time the stadium has been used less and less, commensurate with its dilapidation. The stadium has never been renovated over its lifespan. In 2005 the St George Saints were controversially axed from the new look New South Wales Premier League and took legal action against the decision along with the Bonnyrigg White Eagles, but were unsuccessful. Penrith Stadium (known commercially as BlueBet Stadium) is a rugby league and association football stadium located in Penrith, New South Wales, Australia. The 22,500 capacity venue is the home ground for the Penrith Panthers who play in the National Rugby League (NRL).
