2001–02 LEB 2 Season
The 2001–02 LEB 2 season was the 2nd season of the LEB 2, second league of the Liga Española de Baloncesto and third division in Spain. Competition format 16 teams play the regular season. This is a round robin, where each team will play twice against every rival. After the regular season, the eight first qualified teams played a playoff, were the two finalists promoted to LEB. LEB 2
The LEB Plata is the third basketball division of the Spanish basketball league system and the second basketball division organized by the Spanish Basketball Federation. Since 2019, three teams are promoted to Liga Española de Baloncesto, LEB Oro and six teams are relegated to Liga EBA.
