2001–02 Cypriot Cup
The 2001–02 Cypriot Cup was the 60th edition of the Cypriot Cup. A total of 50 clubs entered the competition. It began on 7 November 2001 with the preliminary round and concluded on 11 May 2002 with the final which was held at GSP Stadium. Anorthosis won their 8th Cypriot Cup trophy after beating Ethnikos Achna 1–0 in the final. Format In the 2001–02 Cypriot Cup, participated all the teams of the Cypriot First Division, the Cypriot Second Division, the Cypriot Third Division and 8 of the 14 teams of the Cypriot Fourth Division. The competition consisted of six knock-out rounds. In the preliminary round and in the first round each tie was played as a single leg and was held at the home ground of the one of the two teams, according to the draw results. Each tie winner was qualifying to the next round. If a match was drawn, extra time was following. Cypriot Cup
The Cypriot Cup () is the main cup competition in Cypriot football, run by the Cyprus Football Association (CFA). It began in 1934, the same season with the Cypriot Championship. It is the second most important competition for Cypriot club teams after Cypriot Championship. Only the Cypriot First Division and the second division teams are participating in the competition. The sponsor of the competition since 1962 is Coca-Cola and thus officially known as Cyprus Coca-Cola Cup. AEK Kythreas (Greek: ΑΕΚ; ''Aθλητική Ένωση Κυθρεας'', Athlitiki Enosi Kythreas) is a Cypriot football club, formerly based in Kythrea, a village under ''de facto'' control of Northern Cyprus. Anagennisi Deryneia ( el, Αναγέννηση Δερύνειας) is Cypriot football team based in Deryneia, Famagusta. The club was founded in 1920 and they joined the Cyprus Football Association in 1972.
