Belgian First Division
The Belgian Pro League,(officially the Jupiler Pro League due to sponsorship reasons with Jupiler), is the top league competition for association football clubs in Belgium. Contested by 18 clubs since the 2020–21 season and reduced to 16 teams from the 2023–24 season onwards, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Challenger Pro League. Seasons run from early August to late April, with teams playing 34 matches each in the regular season, and then entering Play-offs I (also known as the ''Championship Playoff'', ''title playoffs'' or ''Champions' play-offs'') or Play-offs II (also known as the ''Europa League playoff'' or ''Europe play-offs'') according to their position in the regular season. Marcin Żewłakow () (born 22 April 1976) is a Polish football player. Career Żewłakow was born, in Warsaw. He played for clubs such as Polonia Warsaw, Beveren (Belgium), Excelsior Mouscron (Belgium), FC Metz (France) and AA Gent (Belgium) and APOEL (Cyprus). With APOEL he won the 2008-09 Cypriot First Division and also the Cypriot Super Cup of 2008 and 2009. Andrés Augusto Mendoza Acevedo (born April 26, 1978 in Chincha Alta), known as Andrés Mendoza, is a Peruvian former footballer. Club career Mendoza started playing professionally with Sporting Cristal, which he helped become national champion in his first season. Subsequently, he represented a myriad of teams, in Belgium, Ukraine, Russia, Romania and France. He had a steady period with Club Brugge K.V., helping it win the 2002 Belgian Cup, with a hat-trick in a 3–1 one win over Excelsior Mouscron, while also netting the game's only in a 1–0 success at AC Milan, in the 2003-04 UEFA Champions League. Patrick Goots
Patrick Goots (born 10 April 1966) is a Belgian former professional footballer who played as a striker. Club career Goots was in the late 1980s, 90s and the beginning of the next decade, one of the best strikers in Belgium. At the level of the first division of the Belgian Pro League he scored a total of 156 goals. He was also remembered for his Ponytail hairstyle. His nickname was "Patje Bats Bats". He played at the highest level in Belgium until the age of 38 and in his last season in the Belgian Pro League he was the top scorer for Antwerp with eight goals. Rune Lange (born 24 June 1977) is a Norwegian former professional footballer who played as a striker. Career Lange hails from the city of Tromsø and joined the club Fløya at the age of five. As a 17-year-old, he became top scorer in the 3. divisjon (fourth tier) with 33 goals in 22 matches, and then moved on to play for Tromsdalen in the 1. divisjon (2nd tier). Lange stayed with the club for three seasons, during which he experienced a relegation and a season in the 2. divisjon (3rd tier). Beli Moumouni Dagano (born 1 January 1981) is a Burkinabé former professional footballer who played as a striker. At international level, he represented the Burkina Faso national team. Club career Dagano began his career at Ivorian side Stella Club d'Adjamé, based in Abidjan. Belgian Third Division
The Belgian Third Division ( nl, Derde klasse, french: Division III) was the third highest level in Football in Belgium, Belgian football. It had two leagues of 18 teams each (Belgian Third Division A, A and Belgian Third Division B, B) at the same level. This competition, originally known as the Belgian Promotion ( nl, Bevordering) was first played in the 1926-27 in Belgian football, 1926-27 season with three leagues, then with four leagues between 1931 and 1952. From 1952 on, only two leagues remained and the competition was named the Third Division. Originally set to 16 clubs, the number of clubs in each division was increased in 2009 to 18 clubs.
