The 2001 Toronto Phantoms season is the 5th season for the franchise, their first season in Toronto. The Phantoms finished the regular season with an 8–6 record, and beat the New York Dragons in the Wild Card round of the playoffs before falling to the Nashville Kats in the Quarterfinals. Florida Bobcats
The Florida Bobcats were an Arena Football League (AFL) team based in Sunrise, Florida. They were previously known as the Sacramento Attack and the Miami Hooters, and played in the AFL for a total of ten seasons, the last seven in West Palm Beach and Sunrise in the Miami metropolitan area. The team was founded in 1992 as the Sacramento Attack, based in Sacramento, California. After their first season they relocated to Miami as the Miami Hooters, so named through a marketing deal with the restaurant chain Hooters. After three seasons the Hooters sponsorship was dropped and the team moved north to Sunrise where it changed its name. They folded after the 2001 season after years of weak attendance and poor performance. During their run they made two playoff appearances, once in Sacramento and once in Miami. Matthew George (born 16 July 1995) is a multi championship winning British racing driver. He started his motor racing career karting in 2007, becoming Midland Karting Champion in 2010... before moving up to car racing in 2016. George worked as a technician and driver coach at Base Performance Simulators, a racing simulator company led by three-time Le Mans winning Aston Martin factory driver, Darren Turner. George coached Superdry co-founder James Holder at Base Performance, working closely with him for six months before Holder made the decision to form racing team SuperRacing and signed George as the teams pro driver. Anthony Derricks (born December 17, 1976) is a former Arena Football League defensive specialist/ k.o. returner stand-out who played most recently for the Los Angeles Avengers. Damian Deron Harrell (born September 1, 1975) is a former arena football wide receiver. He played college football at Florida State University. In his career, Harrell had also played for the New England Sea Wolves, Toronto Phantoms, and Colorado Crush and Chicago Rush. He had also been named AFL Offensive Player of the Year twice ( 2005 and 2006), First Team All-Arena twice (2005 and 2006), Second Team All-Arena twice ( 2004 and 2007), AFL Offensive Player of the Month twice (February 2003 and April 2006), Offensive Player of the Game 24 times, and Game MVP 10 times. Chad Thomas Salisbury (born July 21, 1976) is an American football coach and former quarterback. He is the offensive coordinator for California University of Pennsylvania, a position he has held since 2009. He was formerly the quarterbacks and wide receivers coach for the Los Angeles Avengers. High school and college careers Salisbury attended Frazier High School, where he played football, basketball, and baseball. While there, he was a two-time All-State selection in football and basketball. After high school, he went to play football for both New Mexico State and Buffalo. Patrick O'Hara (born September 27, 1968) is an American football coach and former quarterback who is the Pass game analyst for the Tennessee Titans of the National Football League (NFL). He previously served as the head coach of the New Orleans VooDoo, Orlando Predators and Tri-Cities Fever. O'Hara also served as an assistant coach for the Houston Texans and Tampa Bay Storm. O'Hara played college football as a quarterback at USC and was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 10th round (260th overall) of the 1991 NFL Draft. The Indiana Firebirds were a team in the Arena Football League. The team was based in Indianapolis, Indiana.
