Norwegian Television
Television in Norway was Timeline of the introduction of television in countries, introduced in 1954, but the first television program was only shown in 1958, and regular broadcasts did not start until 1960. Like Denmark, Norway had only one television channel until the 1980s. Some 40% of the population have Cable television, cable TV, and 30% have Satellite television, satellite TV. Another 30% have terrestrial television only. In Norway, all advertising containing political messages and advertising aimed at children are prohibited. Channels such as TV3 (Norway), TV3 are allowed to broadcast commercial breaks, as these channels are being broadcast via satellite from the United Kingdom. Non-Norwegian television programs (as well as portions of Norwegian shows with foreign language dialogue), except for children's programs, are subtitled, not dubbed. Big Brother Norway
''Big Brother Norge'' was the Norwegian version of reality TV show Big Brother that was aired from 2001 to 2003 on TV Norge for four moderately successful seasons. The fifth and final season was launched in late August 2011 on TV 2 Bliss. Overall Big Brother 1 Season 1 of ''Big Brother Norge'' premiered on February 24, 2001 and ran until May 31, 2001. 10 housemates entered the house on launch night with two Intruders immediately following on the second day of the Show. The original housemates then had to decide whom of Natalie and Roy they wanted to keep in the house. Natalie was evicted. First victim of the public voting was Rebekka, who eventually made a return to the show as one of the twists of the season. When Per Morten made the shows only voluntary exit on Day 85 the audience had the chance to vote yet another former evictee back into the house. TVNorge
TVNorge (literally "TVNorway"; originally abbreviated TVN, now just abbreviated N in the logos) is a Norwegian television channel owned by Warner Bros. Discovery EMEA. History TVNorge went on the air on 5 December 1988 and was the first advertising-supported Norwegian channel. The channel was started with 50 000 NOK. The first broadcast was a live variety show from Oslo Cabaret with Swedish singer Lill-Babs and Norwegian pop group Tomboy as musical guests. Originally TVNorge broadcast via satellite and cable, later they have affiliated several local television broadcasters. The local broadcasters generally were allowed the 17.30-18.30 timeslot for local programming, along with a second slot from 19.30-20.30. The rest of the time was assigned to TVNorge's own schedule. The channel was styled as TVN until 1995, following a rebrand that year, it became TVNorge. Joni Mitchell
Roberta Joan "Joni" Mitchell ( Anderson; born November 7, 1943) is a Canadian-American musician, producer, and painter.
