Grand Duke Of Luxembourg
The Grand Duke of Luxembourg ( lb, Groussherzog vu Lëtzebuerg, french: Grand-duc de Luxembourg, german: Großherzog von Luxemburg) is the monarchical head of state of Luxembourg. Luxembourg has been a grand duchy since 15 March 1815, when it was created from territory of the former Duchy of Luxembourg. It was in personal union with the United Kingdom of the Netherlands until 1890 under the House of Orange-Nassau. Luxembourg is the world's only sovereign grand duchy and since 1815, there have been nine monarchs, including the incumbent, Henri. Coat Of Arms Of Luxembourg
The coat of arms of Luxembourg has its origins in the Middle Ages and was derived from the arms of the Duchy of Limburg, in modern-day Belgium and the Netherlands. In heraldic language, the arms are described as: ''Barry of ten Argent and Azure, a Lion rampant queue forchée Gules crowned, armed and langued Or.'' Versions There are greater, middle and lesser versions of the coat of arms of Luxembourg. The greater coat of arms has two reguardant and crowned lions as supporters, the Dynastic Order (the Order of the Oak Crown) and all surrounded by ermine mantling crowned with a heraldic royal crown (the crown used by the Grand Duke). FC Wiltz 71
FC Wiltz 71 is a football club, based in Wiltz, in north-western Luxembourg. The club is currently playing in the highest football league in Luxembourg. History It was formed in 1971 as an amalgam of Union Sportive Niederwiltz and Gold a Ro'd Wiltz. In 1976, it absorbed Arminia Weidingen. In the 2005–06 season, Wiltz finished fifth in the National Division, but the team was relegated to the Division of Honour after finishing twelfth in the 2007–08 season. Foussballclub Etzella Ettelbréck, abbreviated to either FC Etzella or Etzella Ettelbruck, is a football club, based in Ettelbruck, in north-eastern Luxembourg. History In the 2005–06 season, Etzella finished third in the National Division, winning a place in the UEFA Cup first qualifying round, where they lost to Åtvidabergs FF of Sweden 7–0 on aggregate.
