The 30th edition of the FIBA Korać Cup occurred between September 29, 2000 and April 18, 2001. The competition was won by the Spanish Unicaja, who beat the Yugoslavian Hemofarm in the double finals. FIBA Korać Cup
The FIBA Korać Cup was an annual basketball club competition held by FIBA between the 1971–72 and 2001–02 seasons. It was the third-tier level club competition in European basketball, after the FIBA European Champions' Cup (later renamed the EuroLeague) and the FIBA Cup Winners' Cup (later renamed the FIBA Saporta Cup). The last Korać Cup season was held during the 2001–02 season. History The Korać Cup was named after the legendary Yugoslav player Radivoj Korać, killed in 1969 in a car accident near Sarajevo. DJK Würzburg
Deutsche Jugendkraft Würzburg, commonly known as DJK Würzburg, is a German sports club. It is most known for its basketball section, which in the past had a professional team. Its most known former player is Dirk Nowitzki. Currently, the sports club contains around 3,000 amateur players. History The DJK Sport Association was founded on September 16, 1920 in Würzburg. Due to the geographic location of its home office, the DJK soon founded a local club in Würzburg. However, the different athletic departments found themselves divided among various Catholic clubs. During the Third Reich, all Nazi Germany DJK affiliates were banned by the government. After World War II, the DJK consolidated all of its local departments into DJK Würzburg. Athlon Ieper
Basket SKT Ieper is a basketball team based in Ypres (Ieper), Belgium. For a long time, it was known as ''Athlon Ieper'' and played in the First Division. From 2008 the team name was Melco Ieper. In 2020 they had a fusion with the female basketball club Blue Cats. Together, their new name is Basket SKT Ieper. In the 2000–01 season, Ieper reached the semi-finals of the Korać Cup. Bree B.B.C. is a former professional basketball team based in Bree, Belgium. The club was dissolved in 2010, after going bankrupt. The club played multiple years as a professional team in the Ethias League and played its home games in the Tilmans Expo Centre. History Bree became the Belgian league champion for the first time in 2005, and played in the Eurocup the year after. In the Eurocup 2005-06 season, Bree finished in 3rd place in Group A with a 5-5 record, and lost to Hapoel Jerusalem in the 1/8 finals. Košarkarsko društvo Slovan, commonly referred to as KD Slovan or simply Slovan, is a basketball team from Ljubljana, Slovenia. History The origins of the club are dating back to 1951, when Stane Urek suggested a formation of a basketball club in Poljane (KK Poljane), at one of Ljubljana's high schools. The club got its official permission to play on 13 April in the same year. After just two days, they organised their first tournament, at which they invited Rudar Trbovlje and Krka, both playing in the first national league. Vevey Riviera Basket, also known as Riviera Lakers, is a Swiss basketball club based in Vevey. It plays in the first national tier. History The club was founded in 1952 as Vevey Basket. Vevey won the Swiss League championship 2 times, in the years 1984 and 1991. Their first Swiss League championship came under coach Jim Boylan.
