Canadian Football League East Division
The East Division is one of the two regional divisions of the Canadian Football League, its counterpart being the West Division. Although the CFL was not founded until 1958, the East Division and its clubs are descended from earlier leagues. The four teams in the division are the Toronto Argonauts, Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Montreal Alouettes, and Ottawa Redblacks. Several now-defunct teams have also played in the East Division including two teams from the United States and a large number of teams that have played in Hamilton, Montreal, and Ottawa prior to the current teams from those cities. Calgary Stampeders
The Calgary Stampeders are a professional Canadian football team based in Calgary, Alberta. The Stampeders compete in the West Division of the Canadian Football League (CFL). The club plays its home games at McMahon Stadium and are the third-oldest active franchise in the CFL. The Stampeders were officially founded in 1945, although there were clubs operating in Calgary since the 1890s. The Calgary Stampeders have won eight Grey Cups, most recently in 2018, from their appearances in 17 Grey Cup Championship games. Antonio Armstrong
Antonio Donnell Armstrong (born Antonio Donnell Shorter; October 15, 1973 July 29, 2016) was an American football linebacker who played professionally in the National Football League and the Canadian Football League. High school and college Armstrong started at Kashmere High School and signed with nearby Texas A&M. As a junior at A&M, Armstrong earned Defensive Player of the Game honors after making eight tackles and three sacks in the 1994 Cotton Bowl Classic against Notre Dame. Armstrong earned AP All-America honors his senior year (1994) after making 62 tackles, including 17 behind the line of scrimmage as a senior. He was a semifinalist for the Butkus Award that year, and was a two-time All- SWC selection. Moe Elewonibi
Mohammed Thomas David "Moe" Elewonibi (born December 16, 1965) is a Nigerian-Canadian former offensive lineman who played in the National Football League (NFL) and the Canadian Football League (CFL). He was injured just prior to the end of the first half of the Eagles / Cowboys Divisional Playoff Game on January 7, 1996 and transported off the field on a stretcher with a knee injury. It was his final game in the NFL. Early years Elewonibi was born in Lagos, Nigeria and raised in Victoria, British Columbia. He attended Victoria High School, where he excelled at soccer and basketball. Robert Gordon (gridiron Football)
Robert Gordon (born July 9, 1968) is an American former professional football player who was a wide receiver for thirteen seasons in the Canadian Football League (CFL), six of those for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. He was a CFL Eastern All Star in 1999 and 2000. In 1998, 2001–2002 and 2005, he played in the Arena Football League for several teams. Coaching career Gordan was an assistant coach for the Omaha Mammoths of the Fall Experimental Football League in 2014. On May 9, 2017, Gordon was introduced as the new head coach of the Shenyang Black Rhinos of the China Arena Football League. Gordon was honoured in October 2018 at the annual Hall of Fame Legacy Dinner for the Winnipeg Football Club. Milt Stegall
Milton Eugene Stegall (born January 25, 1970) is a former professional gridiron football player who played 17 years of professional football, three years in the National Football League with the Cincinnati Bengals and 14 years in the Canadian Football League with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. He is currently an analyst on the CFL on TSN studio panel. Stegall was an All-Star receiver for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the CFL. Spanning an illustrious 14-year career from 1995–2008, he held several major CFL records upon his retirement including most career receiving yards, and currently holds the record for career receiving touchdowns and most touchdowns scored. Albert Johnson III
Albert Johnson III (born November 11, 1977) is a former Canadian Football League player for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Johnson played his college football for Southern Methodist University and then signed with the Saskatchewan Roughriders where he played three games in 1999. The Saskatchewan Roughriders are a professional Canadian football team based in Regina, Saskatchewan. The BC Lions are a professional Canadian football team based in Vancouver, British Columbia.
