2000 Super 12 Season
The 2000 Super 12 season was the fifth season of the Super 12, contested by teams from Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. The season ran from February to May 2000, with each team playing all the others once. At the end of the regular season, the top four teams entered the playoff semi finals, with the first placed team playing the fourth and the second placed team playing the third. The winner of each semi final qualified for the final, which was contested by the Crusaders and the Brumbies at Bruce Stadium, Canberra. Adrian Cashmore
Adrian Richard Cashmore (born 23 July 1973 in Tokoroa, New Zealand), is a rugby player who played for Auckland and Bay of Plenty provincially, and the Auckland Blues and Chiefs in Super Rugby. He also played professionally in Japan and for Welsh region the Ospreys in the Celtic League. He also made two appearances for New Zealand. He played predominantly at fullback and was usually his team's goalkicker. His career began with Bay of Plenty in 1992, however in 1993 he made the move north to Auckland where he spent the bulk of his career. He amassed 619 points in the Super Rugby competition for the Auckland Blues and 826 points for Auckland provincially. Finau Maka
Finau Maka (born 10 July 1977) started his playing career for Auckland Rugby Union and NZ age group teams. He played over 50 games for Auckland NPC Team and the Hurricanes, Blues and Highlanders before leaving to play for the Stade Toulousain club in French Top 14. Whilst at Toulouse he helped them win the 2003, 2005 and 2010 Heineken Cups, as a replacement in 2003 and starting in the 2005 final. He played in two Rugby World Cups for Tonga and was one of the stars of the 2007 Rugby World Cup. In 2011 he led his country to beat France in the biggest upset in Rugby World Cup history. Charles Riechelmann
Charles Riechelmann (RICK-le-man, born 26 April 1972) was a Tongan-born New Zealand rugby union player. He played for Auckland provincially, the Blues in the Super Rugby competition the All Blacks at international level as the first ever Tongan-born All Black. The Chiefs (formerly known as the Waikato Chiefs and officially called the Gallagher Chiefs for sponsorship reasons) are a New Zealand professional rugby union team based in Hamilton, Waikato.
