2000 New England Patriots Season
The 2000 season was the New England Patriots' 31st in the National Football League (NFL) and their 41st overall. They finished with a 5–11 record and in last place in the division. It would be the first season the franchise would have with quarterback Tom Brady. However, he would not get the starting position until next season. This would also be the only season in Brady's career that he was on a team with a losing record. Following the firing of three-year head coach Pete Carroll in January, Patriots owner Bob Kraft pursued Jets assistant head coach Bill Belichick for the Patriots' head coaching vacancy. Belichick, who had been an assistant coach under Bill Parcells with the Patriots in 1996, followed Parcells to the Jets after that season and was contractually named Parcells' successor. 2000 NFL Draft
The 2000 NFL Draft was the procedure by which National Football League teams selected amateur U.S. college football players. It is officially known as the NFL Annual Player Selection Meeting. The draft was held April 15– 16, 2000, at the Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York. No teams chose to claim any players in the supplemental draft that year. The draft started with Penn State teammates Courtney Brown and LaVar Arrington being selected consecutively, making them the only Penn State players to go number one and two in the same draft. The New York Jets had four first-round draft picks, the most by any team in the history of the draft (17 teams have had three picks but no other has had four). Greg Robinson-Randall
Greg Wayne Randall (born Robinson; June 23, 1978) is a former American football offensive tackle. He was originally drafted in the fourth round (127th overall) of the 2000 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots. He played college football at Michigan State. In his career, Randall played for the New England Patriots, Houston Texans, San Francisco 49ers, St. Louis Rams, and Cleveland Browns of the National Football League (NFL), as well as the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League (CFL), and the New York Dragons of the Arena Football League (AFL). The Hawaii Rainbow Warriors football team represents the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa in NCAA Division I FBS college football. It was part of the Western Athletic Conference until July 2012, when the team joined the Mountain West Conference. Adrian Klemm
Adrian William Klemm (born May 21, 1977) is an American football coach and former offensive tackle who is the offensive line coach for the New England Patriots of the National Football League (NFL). He previously served as the offensive line coach for the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2021. Klemm played college football at the University of Hawaii and was drafted by the New England Patriots in the second round of the 2000 NFL Draft, the same draft in which they selected Tom Brady in the sixth round.
