The event was won by Andreas Jonsson of Sweden and he also gained qualification to the Speedway Grand Prix Challenge. Individual Speedway Junior World Championship
The Speedway Under-21 World Championship is an annual speedway event held each year organized by the International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) since 1977. As of 2022, the title was awarded to the winner of the SGP2 category at the FIM Speedway World Championship. History Between 1977 and 1987 the Championship was the called Individual Speedway Junior European Championship (European Speedway Under 21 Championship), open only to European riders. In 1979, the Championship allowed riders from other continents to compete, but was renamed to the Speedway World Under 21 Championship in 1988. A new competition was named Individual Speedway Junior European Championship was founded by the European Motorcycle Union (UEM) in 1998, only open to European competitors. Originally it was called the European Under-21 Championship (from 1977-1987) but changed its name in 1988 when it was made open to all nations. David Peter Howe (born 1 March 1982) is a British former professional motorcycle speedway rider. Career Born in Leicester, England, David Howe started his career on 31 March 1997, aged 15, with the Peterborough Panthers team in the Conference League (speedway), Conference League. He is a three-time Speedway Grand Prix, Grand Prix participant, having been awarded wild card places for 2003 Speedway Grand Prix series in Britain and Slovenia. He also featured as a wild card for the 2007 Speedway Grand Prix of Great Britain, awarded to him after finishing runner-up in the 2007 British Championship. In 1999 he won 3 Titles with Peterborough Panthers: The Elite League Title, the Knockout Cup and the Craven Shield. He won the British Under-21 Champion in 2000 and in 2002 he finished third in the World Under-21 Championship. Freddie Eriksson
Freddie Ove Eriksson (born 23 April 1981 in Stockholm, Sweden) is a former motorcycle speedway rider from Sweden. Career summary Eriksson began his British speedway career in 2001 with King’s Lynn with whom he had two relatively successful seasons scoring over 400 points in 71 appearances. In between he became the Swedish Under-21 Speedway Champion in 2002. In 2003, he joined Ipswich on loan late on in the season and made only 14 appearances. Eriksson’s parent club (Oxford) recalled him for the end of the 2005 season but at the start of the 2006 season Eriksson was released after only 13 meetings. Eriksson started the 2007 season back at Oxford but once again he was unable to complete a full season in the UK after Oxford were forced to close down their Elite League team at the end of May due to financial problems. The Blackwells Mills Canal House is located at Blackwells Mills Road and Canal Road in Franklin Township, Somerset County, New Jersey, United States, on the Delaware and Raritan Canal. Across the canal is Blackwells Mills, New Jersey. History The house was built , at the same time as the canal, to house the bridge tender. The bridge tender would turn the swing bridge when boats came through, then turn it back to allow road traffic to cross over the canal. In 1932, the canal closed and the swing bridges were dismantled. The house and the canal were transferred to the state of New Jersey. In 1971 the Blackwells Mills Canal House Association was formed, and they leased the house from the state and began to restore it as a community center, museum, and library. The adjacent Delaware and Raritan Canal was made a state and national historic site and later became a New Jersey State Park. Travis McGowan
Travis McGowan (born 13 January 1981 in Mildura, Victoria) is an Australian speedway rider. Career McGowan started racing motorbikes the age of ten, and in 1993 he won the Australian Under-16 Championship at Darwin's Northline Speedway. Success continued as he won the Australian Under-21 Speedway Championship in 1998, 2000 and 2002, as well as taking five consecutive victories in the Victorian State Championship between 2001 and 2005. By winning the Victorian title five times in a row, McGowan broke the record of four straight wins previously held by Mildura speedway legends Phil Crump (1972-1975, 1979-1982) and Leigh Adams (1989-1992). In 1999 McGowan was offered a team spot for the King's Lynn Stars in the British Elite League. He remained in the team for the following season but returned to Australia in 2001.
