Michel Demaret
Michel Demaret (18 January 1940 – 9 November 2000) was a Belgian politician. Popular TV hero Originally a club bouncer of humble origin from the Marolles neighbourhood, his general attitude and manner of speech made him a target for jokes, but also for popularity among many electors and TV viewers, particularly after the broadcasting of two documentaries about him, at that time still a low level employee at the Retirement Office, by '' Fait Divers'', a famous Belgian television magazine, realized in 1971 and 1972 by Jean-Jacques Péché and Pierre Manuel, ''Les Fonctionnaires'' (the Public Servants) and ''Week-end ou la qualité de la vie'' (Week end or quality of life). Lieutenant-Colonel Doctor of Dental Surgery, Dr. (Dent.) Edouard "Eddy" Blondeel (25 January 1906 – 23 May 2000) was the wartime commander of the Belgian 5 SAS, 5th SAS. After the war he was first Commanding Office of the 1st Parachute Battalion (Belgium), 1st Regiment of Parachutists. He retired from the Belgian Army, army in 1947 to work as an engineer with Arjo Wiggins, Wiggins Teape. Early life Eddy Blondeel was born in Ghent on January 25, 1906. Jérémie Makiese (; born 15 June 2000) is a Belgian singer and footballer, who rose to fame after winning ''The Voice Belgique 2021''. Remco Evenepoel (born 25 January 2000) is a Belgian cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . He is the son of Patrick Evenepoel, a former racing cyclist who won the 1993 Grand Prix de Wallonie. Remco Evenepoel started his sport career in association football, playing for the youth teams of R.S.C. Anderlecht and PSV Eindhoven, as well as being featured in the youth national teams of Belgium. Realising that his physical abilities made him more suited for cycling, he switched to the discipline in 2017.
