The 2000 Australian Formula Ford Championship was open to drivers of racing cars complying with Confederation of Australian Motor Sport, CAMS Formula Ford regulations. Australian Formula Ford Championship
The Australian Formula Ford Championship is an Australian motor racing competition for drivers of Formula Ford racing cars, held annually since 1970. From 1970 until 1992 it was a national series and from 1993 until 2013 the series was sanctioned by the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport as the Australian Formula Ford Championship. From 2014 to 2018 it reverted to national series status. The Australian Formula Ford Championship name was then applied to the series by the Formula Ford Association from 2019. Marcus Marshall
Marcus Marshall (born 25 November 1978) is a former Champ Car driver from Australia. Biography He began racing in British Formula Three, where he was generally a running outside the top ten, but took a hard-fought win in a wet race. He contested 12 races in 2005 for Derrick Walker's renamed Team Australia Racing. A lack of experience blighted his year and he scored only two top-ten finishes, the best of which was 8th in Edmonton. He was fired and replaced by Will Power prior to the season finale in Mexico City after what was described as a "serious breach of contract". On 12 February 2006 Marshall raced for A1 Team Australia in round 8 of the A1 Grand Prix series at the Sentul International Circuit in Indonesia and finished third in the feature race, behind Canadian Sean McIntosh and Malaysian Alex Yoong. Andrew Jones (racing Driver)
Andrew Jones (born 24 June 1980) is an Australian racing driver who previously competed in the Supercars Championship and Dunlop Super2 Series, driving with family-owned team Brad Jones Racing for majority of his career. Jones has had success in a number of forms of motorsport in Australia. In 2004 he won the Konica Minolta V8 Supercar Series, the second tier series, and went on to secure a drive with Garry Rogers Motorsport in the 2005 V8 Supercar Championship Series. In 2006, he joined Tasman Motorsport, replacing Jamie Whincup but had a frustrating and disappointing year. Owen Kelly (born 12 March 1977) is an Australian professional racing driver. Son of Chas Kelly, he has competed over the course of his career in V8 Supercars and NASCAR among other series. Racing career Kelly started his circuit racing career in Formula Ford for three seasons, progressing to V8 Supercars in 2000. From there he has raced in Super Touring, V8 Supercars and NASCAR Late models. Late in the 2007 V8 Supercar season he was picked up as a full-time driver for Paul Morris Motorsport replacing Fabian Coulthard. William "Will" Steven Power (born 1 March 1981) is an Australian motorsports driver who currently competes in the IndyCar Series, driving for Team Penske. He is the 2014 and 2022 IndyCar Series champion and the 2018 Indianapolis 500 champion. Borland Racing Developments is an Australian championship winning manufacturer of open-wheel racing cars, principally in the junior categories of Formula Ford and Formula Vee. Garry Rogers Motorsport is an Australian motor racing team. It is owned by retired racing driver Garry Rogers who began the team to further his own racing efforts. Leanne Ferrier (sometimes known as Leanne Tander, born 5 June 1980 in Sydney, Australia) is an Australian race car driver having raced cars such as Formula Ford, Formula 3 and in the Supercars Championship.
