The 2000 All-Big 12 Conference football team consists of American football players chosen as All-Big 12 Conference players for the 2000 Big 12 Conference football season. The conference recognizes two official All-Big 12 selectors: (1) the Big 12 conference coaches selected separate offensive and defensive units and named first- and second-team players (the "Coaches" team); and (2) a panel of sports writers and broadcasters covering the Big 12 also selected offensive and defensive units and named first- and second-team players (the "Media" team). 2000 Big 12 Conference Football Season
The 2000 Big 12 Conference football season represented the 5th season of Big 12 conference football, taking place during the 2000 NCAA Division I-A football season. The season began with non-conference play on Saturday, August 26, 2000. Conference play began on Saturday, September 30, 2000. At the conclusion of the regular season, Kansas State won the North Division championship with a 11–3 (6–2) record. Oklahoma finished atop the South Division standings, with a perfect regular season 11–0 (8–0). In the 2000 Big 12 Championship Game, the Oklahoma Sooners, narrowly beat the Kansas State Wildcats by a score of 27–24 in Kansas City, Missouri. With the win, the Sooners advance to the BCS National Championship Game. Kansas State was placed in the Cotton Bowl Classic. A total of 7 Big 12 teams went to bowl games in 2000. Daniel Graham
Daniel Lawrence Graham (born November 16, 1978) is a former American football tight end in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the University of Colorado, and was recognized as a consensus All-American. He was drafted by the New England Patriots in the first round of the 2002 NFL Draft, and also played professionally for the Denver Broncos, Tennessee Titans and New Orleans Saints. Early years Graham was born in Torrance, California. Growing up in Denver, Colorado, he attended Thomas Jefferson High School. Graham won the Randy Brewer award, which was given to the school's most inspirational player. Carlos Devonn Polk (born February 22, 1977) is an American football coach and former linebacker who is the assistant special teams coach for the Chicago Bears of the National Football League (NFL). Rocky Ayres Calmus (born August 1, 1979) is an American former college and professional football player who was a linebacker in the National Football League (NFL) for three seasons during the early 2000s. He played college football for the University of Oklahoma, earned consensus All-American honors twice, and was recognized as the nation's top college linebacker. Kyle Dale Vanden Bosch (born November 17, 1978) is a former American football defensive end who played over ten years in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the University of Nebraska, and was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in the second round of the 2001 NFL Draft.
