The First Municipality (In Italian: ''Prima Municipalità'' or ''Municipalità 1'') is one of the ten boroughs in which the Italian city of Naples is divided. It is the lesser-populated municipality. Geography The municipality is located by the coast in the south-western area of the city. It is extended from the western branch of the Port of Naples to the borders with Nisida (part of Bagnoli). Nisida
Nisida is a volcanic islet of the Flegrean Islands archipelago, in southern Italy. It lies at a very short distance from Cape Posillipo, just north of Naples; it is now connected to the mainland by a stone bridge. The islet is almost circular, with a flooded crater forming the bay of Porto Paone on the southwest coast. It has a diameter of about and a highest altitude of . The name of the island comes from the Greek for "islet" (small island), νησίς, for which the accusative was ''nesida''. Bagnoli is a western seaside quarter of Naples, Italy, well beyond the confines of the original city. It is beyond Cape Posillipo and, thus, looking on the coast of the Bay of Pozzuoli. Industrialization and World War II Bagnoli was one of the sites of Naples' industrialization in the early 20th century, with the construction of a steel mill. Mergellina
Mergellina is a coastal district of the city of Naples, Italy. It is located in the quartiere of Chiaia. It stands at the foot of the Posillipo Hill and faces the Castel dell'Ovo.
