1st Arizona State Legislature
The 1st Arizona State Legislature, consisting of the Arizona State Senate and the Arizona House of Representatives, was constituted from February 14, 1912 (the day Arizona was admitted to the United States) to December 31, 1914, during the first term of George Wylle Paul Hunt as Governor of Arizona, in Phoenix. The legislature was heavily skewed towards the Democrats, with their holding a 15–4 lead in the senate, and a 31–4 lead in the Arizona House of Representantatives The number of senators and representatives was set by the State Constitution, with 9 counties being granted one Senator, while the other 5 were granted two. Representation in the house was also by county, apportioned by population, with each county being guaranteed a minimum of 1 Representation. Released for Linux, Microsoft Windows, OS X, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, the game is centered on the challenge of surviving a zombie-infested open world with a major emphasis on melee combat. The plot focuses on four playable survivors trying to survive and escape off the fictional island of Banoi. The game was announced at the 2006 Electronic Entertainment Expo, but delayed until 2011. The game's cinematic Dead Island Reveal Trailer, announcement trailer was met with controversy over its depiction of a dead child. However reception was nonetheless positive, with praise going towards the emotional impact, animation and story, with the trailer being held as one of the best in any medium. Henry Lovin
Henry Lovin was a politician from Arizona who served in the 1st and 2nd Arizona State Legislatures. He ran several large mercantile businesses, was heavily into the mining industry, and owned both cattle ranches in Arizona and an alfalfa ranch in California. Life Lovin was originally from Richmond County, North Carolina, being born in Rockingham on June 22, 1866. He moved to Arizona in 1887, settling in Phoenix, where he planted the first orange grove in the Salt River Valley. After two years he moved to Prescott, and moved again in 1891 to Kingman, where he remained for the remainder of his life. In addition to his main residence in Kingman, Arizona, Lovin also owned an alfalfa ranch in southern California. He married Miss Ruby Roe on March 21, 1897. They had two daughters. Thomas Maddock (politician)
Thomas Maddock's Sons Company was founded by Thomas Maddock. History The firm was originally named 'Millington & Asthury, before Maddock joined it in 1872. It was subsequently renamed 'Millington, Astbury & Maddock the next year. When Millington left, it became Asthury & Maddock, before assuming the name Thomas Maddock & Sons upon the departure of Asthury. The plant is in Hamilton Township, New Jersey. It was built in 1924-25 and manufactured sanitary ware. Later it was purchased by American Standard in 1929 and production continued until 2002. The site lies adjacent to the Hamilton Train Station on the Northeast Corridor Line. It has been redeveloped as offices and is the centerpiece of transit-oriented development around the station.
