19th National Television Awards
The 19th National Television Awards was held at The O2 Arena on 22 January 2014. The event was presented by Dermot O'Leary, who himself was nominated for an award. The ceremony was broadcast live on ITV. Ant & Dec, '' Coronation Street'' and '' Doctor Who'' were among the big winners, whilst Benedict Cumberbatch picked up the new TV detective award. This is the only ceremony not to feature the Special Recognition Award. Dermot O'Leary
Seán Dermot Fintan O'Leary Jr. (born 24 May 1973) is an English broadcaster who currently works for ITV and BBC Radio 2. His radio career began when he worked as a disc jockey at Essex Radio, but he is best known for being the presenter of ''The X Factor'' (UK) on ITV, a position he held from 2007 until its final series in 2018, with the exception of 2015. Since 2021, O'Leary has presented ITV's '' This Morning'' on a Friday, School and Bank Holidays alongside Alison Hammond. Anna Passey
Anna Passey (born 28 August 1984) is an English actress, known for portraying Sienna Blake in the Channel 4 soap opera ''Hollyoaks''. For her role as Sienna Blake, she won the award for Villain of the Year at the 2014 British Soap Awards. Career Passey graduated from the Bridge Drama School in London. The ''BBC Wildlife Specials'' are a series of nature documentary programmes commissioned by BBC Television. The series premiered in 1995, and 22 specials have been produced to date, with most of the more recent ones consisting of multiple episodes. ''Educating Yorkshire'' is the second series of the British documentary television programme ''Educating'' broadcast on Channel 4. The eight-episode first series was first broadcast on 5 September 2013. Its format is based on the BAFTA Award-winning 2011 series ''Educating Essex''. It follows the everyday lives of the staff and pupils of Thornhill Community Academy, a secondary school in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire. A Christmas special entitled ''Educating Yorkshire at Christmas'' was aired on 19 December 2013. An episode titled ''Educating Yorkshire: One Year On'' was broadcast on 21 August 2014.
