1999–2000 European Hockey League
The 1999–2000 European Hockey League was the fourth and last edition of the European Hockey League. The season started on September 21, 1999, and finished on February 6, 2000. The tournament was won by Metallurg Magnitogorsk, who beat HC Sparta Praha in the final. The points system used in the first round of the tournament was: the winner in regular time won 3 points; in case of a tie, an overtime is played, the winner in overtime won 2 points and the loser in overtime won 1 point. The European Hockey League was a European ice hockey club competition which ran between the years 1996 and 2000. HC Dynamo Moscow () is a Russian professional ice hockey club based in Moscow. It is a member of the Tarasov Division in the Kontinental Hockey League. Vålerenga Ishockey (; abbreviated as VIF) is a Norwegian ice hockey team based in Oslo, Norway. Vålerenga has been the dominant force in Norwegian hockey since the 1960s, claiming 26 national championships and 29 regular season titles. Modo Hockey (or MoDo with uppercase letters) is a professional ice hockey club in Örnsköldsvik, Sweden. The team plays in Sweden's second-tier league HockeyAllsvenskan.
