Amado Guevara (born 2 May 1976) is a Honduran former professional footballer and manager. He was the coach of Puerto Rico from 2018 to 2019. A former midfielder, he is the second all-time cap leader for the Honduras national team seconded by Maynor Figueroa . He was selected as the Best Player of the 2001 Copa América, held in Colombia. 1997–98 Honduran Liga Nacional
In 1997–98 the Honduran Liga Nacional brought a new competition system; the league would be now divided into two tournaments (Apertura and Clausura), having C.D. Motagua won their 6th and 7th title in this new format. The tournament lasted from August 1997 to October 1998 and it consisted of 11 teams for the first time since the 1981–82 season. Juan Manuel Coello Torres (born 21 May 1976) is a retired Honduran association footballer. He currently is coach of the F.C. Motagua reserves team. Club career Coello played as a midfielder for F.C. Motagua, with whom he won several league titles, Vida and Deportes Savio. Honduran Supercup
The Honduran Supercup is a Honduran football competition held yearly as a preseason match between the reigning champions of the Liga Nacional and the Honduran Cup. The competition started unofficially in 1997, but it was discontinued after just two seasons. In 2015, it was intended to be reactivated, however the match between F.C. Motagua and Club Deportivo Olimpia was scheduled but not played. One year later, a new Supercup edition was finally reestablished after 17 years of dormancy. The Honduran football authorities however, did not consider the competition official until 2017.
