The 1999 Copa Colsanitas was a women's tennis tournament played on outdoor clay courts at the Club Campestre El Rancho in Bogotá in Colombia that was part of Tier IVa of the 1999 WTA Tour. It was the second edition of the tournament and was held from February 15 through February 21, 1999. Fifth-seeded Fabiola Zuluaga won the singles title. WTA Tier IV Tournaments
The WTA Tier IV tournaments were Women's Tennis Association fourth-level tournaments held from 1990 until the end of the 2008 season. The line-up of events varied over the years, with tournaments being promoted, demoted or cancelled. Some of the tournaments became Tier V events between 1990 and 1992, and later from 2001 to 2005, before being integrated back into Tier IV. Jana Kandarr (born 21 September 1976) is a German former top 50 professional tennis player. Kandarr is notable for playing with her right hand, even though she is left-handed. Career Kandarr moved with her parents from Halle to Karlsruhe after the German reunification. Her mother Petra Vogt is a former European athletics champion and was Sports Person of the Year in the German Democratic Republic (East Germany) in 1969. Jelena Dokic ( sr, Јелена Докић, Jelena Dokić; ; born 12 April 1983) is an Australian tennis coach, commentator, writer, and former professional tennis player. Alice Canepa (; born 30 April 1978) is a retired tennis player from Italy. Her highest singles and doubles rankings are No. 158 and No. 93, respectively.
