The 1999 Kärcher Canadian Junior Curling Championships were held February 6-14 at the Kelowna Curling Club in Kelowna, British Columbia. The winning teams represented Canada at the 1999 World Junior Curling Championships. Sean Grassie
Sean Grassie (born October 18, 1978) is a Canadian curler from Winnipeg, Manitoba. Career As a junior, Grassie and his rink of Scott Madams, Ton Tomyk and Scott Grassie won the Manitoba Junior Men's Championship in 1999. The team represented Manitoba at the 1999 Canadian Junior Curling Championships, where they finished with a 6-6 record. Grassie has found a lot of his success in mixed curling. He has won two Manitoba Mixed titles, in 2009 and 2011. In 2009, his rink of Allison Nimik (Flaxey), Ross Derksen and Kendra Green would represent Manitoba at the 2009 Canadian Mixed Curling Championship. The team finished the round robin with a 10-1 record, in first place. This put them in the final, against Ontario, which they won. Trevor Hoffman (curler)
Trevor William Hoffman (born October 13, 1967) is an American former professional baseball pitcher who played 18 years in Major League Baseball (MLB) from 1993 to 2010. A long-time closer, he pitched for the Florida Marlins, San Diego Padres, and Milwaukee Brewers, including more than 15 years for the Padres. Hoffman was the major leagues' first player to reach the 500- and 600- save milestones, and was the all-time saves leader from 2006 until 2011. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2018. Hoffman currently serves as senior advisor for baseball operations for the Padres. Hoffman played shortstop collegiately at the University of Arizona and was drafted in the 11th round by the Cincinnati Reds.
