1998–99 Primera División A Season
Primera División A ''(Méxican First A Division)'' is a Mexican football tournament. This season was composed of Invieno 1998 and Verano 1999. Unión de Curtidores, Verano 1999 champion, were able to gain promotion to Primera Division for the 1999-2000 season after winning the playoff to Yucatán, Invierno 1998 champion. However, the Puebla F.C. acquired the franchise belonging to Union de Curtidores to remain in the First Division. Cruz Azul Hidalgo
Club Deportivo Cruz Azul Hidalgo, also known as Cruz Azul Hidalgo, was a professional football club in Mexico who last played in the Liga Premier league of Mexico. Their stadium was the Estadio 10 de Diciembre located in Ciudad Cooperativa Cruz Azul (previously the name of the town was Jasso) in Hidalgo and was the affiliate team of Cruz Azul. The team dissolved in 2014 after Zacatepec 1948 bought their spot to remain in Ascenso MX. But has a team in the Liga Premier de Ascenso, replace Cruz Azul Jasso. Ascenso MX
Ascenso MX was the second tier of professional football in Mexico of the Mexican football league system. The champion of the competition was promoted to Liga MX (top-flight tier). The bottom team was relegated to Liga Premier (the third tier). It was sponsored by BBVA through its Mexican subsidiary BBVA, and was officially known as Ascenso BBVA MX. Formerly known as Primera División A (First Division A) the league rebranded in 2009 its name and competition format to Liga de Ascenso. It was rebranded in 2012 as Ascenso MX. Club de Fútbol Halcones de Querétaro was a Mexican football team that played in Primera División A and Segunda División de México and currently plays in Liga de Balompié Mexicano. Club de Fútbol Real Cuautitlán was a Mexican football club that played in the Segunda División Profesional. The club was based in Cuautitlán, State of Mexico. History The club was founded in 1996 joining the Tercera División de México that same year the club managed to win the tournament and earned the promotion to the Segunda División Profesional and would join forces with Necaxa. In 1999 the club won the Invierno 1999 Championship defeating in the final Club Atlético Tapatío F.C. Real Sociedad de Zacatecas was a Mexican football team from Zacatecas, México. That played for 7 years in the Ascenso MX History Real Sociedad Deportiva de Zacatecas was founded in 1996 by the Mexican beer brewery Modelo. In 1997 the club would reach its first final against Pachuca FC which the club would go on to lose.
