During the 1998–99 English football season, Leicester City competed in the FA Premier League (known as the FA Carling Premiership for sponsorship reasons). Season summary Leicester City repeated the previous season's 10th place in the Premiership, earning Martin O'Neill more credit for achieving strong finishes on a relatively limited budget. But the club's best chance of a UEFA Cup place was blown in late March when they lost to Tottenham Hotspur in the Worthington Cup final. At least City fans had the satisfaction of holding on to the highly rated O'Neill, who had seemed certain to desert the club for Leeds United early in the season. Kit Leicester's season's kit was manufactured by Fox Leisure and their shirt was sponsored by the British food snack manufacturer Walkers Crisps. Mark Everton Walters (born 2 June 1964) is an English former professional footballer who made 600 league appearances between 1981 and 2002. A midfielder, Walters played top-flight football for Aston Villa, Liverpool and Southampton in England and for Rangers in Scotland, and played in the lower divisions of the Football League for Stoke City, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Swindon Town and Bristol Rovers. Eamonn Deacy Park, formerly known as Terryland Park, is an association football stadium in the Republic of Ireland based in the Terryland district of Galway. Neil Francis Lennon (born 25 June 1971) is a Northern Irish football coach and former player. During his playing career he represented English clubs Manchester City, Crewe Alexandra and Leicester City. Ballybofey ( , ; ) is a town located on the south bank of the River Finn, County Donegal, Ireland. Together with the smaller town of Stranorlar on the north side of the River Finn, the towns form the Twin Towns of Ballybofey-Stranorlar. Finn Park ( ga, Páirc na Finne) is a football stadium in Ballybofey, Ireland. The home ground of League of Ireland team Finn Harps, it has a 'safe capacity' of 4,200 with 351 seats. Facilities The ground is in a relatively dilapidated condition, although upgraded to modern safety standards. Graham Fenton
Graham Anthony Fenton (born 22 May 1974) is an English football manager and former professional footballer who is the current manager of Blyth Spartans. He played as a striker in the Premier League for Aston Villa, Blackburn Rovers and Leicester City, as well as in the Football League for West Bromwich Albion, Walsall, Stoke City, Blackpool and Darlington. He also spent a year in Scotland with St Mirren before later playing for Non-league Blyth Spartans. He was capped once by England at under-21 level.
