The 3rd FINA World Swimming Championships (25 m) were an international swimming meet organized by FINA. Göteborg
Gothenburg (; abbreviated Gbg; sv, Göteborg ) is the second-largest city in Sweden, fifth-largest in the Nordic countries, and capital of the Västra Götaland County. Jörg Hoffmann (swimmer)
Jörg Hoffmann (born 29 January 1970) is a former freestyle swimmer from Germany, who won the bronze medal in the 1500 m freestyle at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain. He competed in three consecutive Summer Olympics, starting in Seoul 1988 as a member of the East German team. Hoffmann was born in Schwedt an der Oder. A long distance specialist, he won the European title in the 1500 m freestyle four times in a row; the first one came in 1989 in Bonn, the last one in 1995 in Vienna. Geoff Huegill
Geoffrey Andrew Huegill (born 4 March 1979) is an Australian swimmer and dual Olympian who won seventy-two international medals, including two medals in Olympics and six world champion titles, throughout his career. He held eight world records, including 50 metres butterfly. Huegill has been recognised as technically the best butterflier and was the dominant butterfly champion during the early 2000s. Affectionately known as 'Skippy', he is the nation's favourite comeback kid. Huegill came out of retirement in 2008 and shed 45 kilograms of weight to fight his way back to competition and was declared a national hero when he won gold at the 2010 Delhi Commonwealth Games in the 100 metre butterfly. Lars Frölander
Lars Arne Frölander (born 26 May 1974) is a Swedish swimmer. He has competed in six consecutive Olympic Games (1992, 1996, 2000, 2004, 2008 and 2012). Biography Frölander was born in Boden. He grew up in Ornäs in Borlänge Municipality. In the 1992 Summer Olympics, he competed in the 4 × 200 metre freestyle relay along with Christer Wallin, Anders Holmertz and Tommy Werner. The Swedish team finished second behind the Unified Team. In the 1996 Summer Olympics, Frölander again finished second in the 4 × 200 metre freestyle relay with the Swedish team. The team consisted of Christer Wallin, Anders Holmertz, Frölander, Anders Lyrbring. This time the United States was the winning team. Adrian Radley (born 22 April 1976) is a retired Australian swimming (sport), swimmer specializing in the backstroke events. He is best known for winning a gold and bronze medal in the men's 100 m backstroke and the men's medley relay at the 1997 FINA Short Course World Championships in Gothenburg, Sweden. The medley relay consisted of a young team of Adrian Radley, Phil Rogers, Philip Rogers, Geoff Huegill and Michael Klim. It was the first time the Australians had set a world record in a relay event in over 30 years, beating the US team to Silver at the Championships and signaled the start of the men's teams resurgence as one of the world’s best relay teams.
