1996–97 Divizia D
The 1996–97 Divizia D was the 55th season of the Liga IV, the fourth tier of the Romanian football league system. The champions of each county association play against one from a neighboring county in a promotion play-off match played on a neutral venue. A special table was made and teams with the best 16 results were promoted to the third league. Liga IV
Liga IV is the fourth level of the Romanian football league system. Its name was changed from Divizia D into Liga IV before the start of play for the 2006–07 season. Current format Liga IV has 42 divisions. The divisions are regionalised and are organised by every county association. Each team plays in their own county. The county associations decide how many teams play in the league and how many matches each side plays. In Romania the most frequently used system is one division with matches played home and away. A number of associations prefer 2 or even 4 parallel divisions with the teams finishing first meeting in a play-off to decide the champion. The number of teams differ from one county association to another. The Mureș County association has the fewest teams, 8, which play in a Scottish system, playing 4 times against one another. Liga IV Iași is the regional Liga IV football division for clubs in Iași County, România, the fourth tier of the Romanian football league system. It is organized by the County Football Association (Asociația Județeană de Fotbal) and is competed amongst 16 teams, the winner is promoted to Liga III after a promotion play-off. The number of relegated team from the Liga IV – Iași is variable and depends on the number of teams relegated from the Liga III. Liga IV Olt is the regional Liga IV football division for clubs in Olt County, România, the fourth tier of the Romanian football league system. It is organized by the County Football Association (Asociația Județeană de Fotbal) and is competed amongst 15 teams, the winner is promoted to Liga III after a promotion play-off. History In 1968, along with the territorial reorganization of the country, but also due to the large number of requests, Romanian Football Federation, FRF proposes a competitive system in which each county has its own football championship, which will activate the former teams in the regional championship as well as the racing and town championship teams from the previous edition. Coming after a strong regional championship, the first editions, at least for Olt County, were the most successful, meaning that most of the promotion playoffs were won. Inter Gaz București was a Romanian professional football club from Bucharest, Romania, founded in 1973 and dissolved in 2009. History The club was founded in the summer of 1973 as ''Mecos București'' once with the canning and luncheon meats factory with the same name from Popești-Leordeni, a village from Ilfov County near to Bucharest.
