PGA Tour
The PGA Tour (stylized in all capital letters as PGA TOUR by its officials) is the organizer of professional golf tours in the United States and North America. It organizes most of the events on the flagship annual series of tournaments also known as the PGA Tour, as well as PGA Tour Champions (age 50 and older) and the Korn Ferry Tour (for professional players who have not yet qualified to play on the PGA Tour), as well as PGA Tour Canada, PGA Tour Latinoamérica, and PGA Tour China. The PGA Tour is a nonprofit organization headquartered in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, a suburb southeast of Jacksonville, Florida, Jacksonville. Shane Bertsch
Shane Thomas Bertsch (born March 30, 1970) is an American professional golfer who has played on the PGA Tour. Bertsch was born in Denver, Colorado. He turned professional in 1994. Bertsch has won twice on the Nationwide Tour, once in 2000 and once in 2005. His best PGA Tour finish was a tie for fifth at the 1996 Greater Vancouver Open. Bertsch was once a top-tier tennis player, but gave up the game for good after losing to future world number-one Andre Agassi in 1994. Bertsch barely missed retaining full tour privileges for 2009, finished 126th on the money list. He secured a tour card for 2010 by finishing 15th in qualifying school. In August 2020, Bertsch won in his second PGA Tour Champions start. He beat Glen Day, Bernhard Langer and Kenny Perry with an eagle at the first sudden-death playoff hole. Challenge Tour
The Challenge Tour is the second-tier men's professional golf tour in Europe. It is operated by the PGA European Tour and, as with on the main European Tour and the European Senior Tour, some of the events are played outside Europe. History The tour was introduced in 1986 and was initially called the ''Satellite Tour''. The Order of Merit was introduced in 1989, with the top five players on it winning membership of the European Tour for the following season. The following year the tour was renamed the Challenge Tour. Up to 1993 the Challenge Tour rankings were based on each player's best several results, but since 1994 it has been a straightforward money list, with all results counting. Players who are successful on the Challenge Tour qualify for membership of the European Tour the following year. Twenty players earn direct promotion to the European Tour. Adam Mednick
Adam Mednick (born 9 September 1966) is a Swedish professional golfer. Early life Mednick was born in Bethesda, Maryland in the United States to an American father and a Swedish mother, and moved to Sweden when he was eight years old. His great-grandparents emigrated from Kiev in the Ukraine, and the authorities in the United States changed their family name from Mednikov to Mednick. Amateur career Mednick had a successful amateur career, representing Gävle Golf Club, situated 180 kilometres north of Stockholm, Sweden, in the same player generation as club mates, European Tour winner to be, Peter Hedblom and 1988 Amateur Championship winner Cristian Härdin. Craig Kanada
Craig Andrew Kanada (born October 2, 1968) is an American professional golfer. He was born in Portland, Oregon. Kanada played on the Nationwide Tour in 1994–96, 1998–99, 2000, 2002, 2006, and 2009–10. He was a member of the PGA Tour in 1997, 2001, 2007 and 2008. Jeff Hart (golfer)
Jeffrey Robert Hart (born May 5, 1960) is an American professional golfer. He has played on the PGA Tour, Nationwide Tour, and Champions Tour. Hart was born in Pomona, California. He played college golf at the University of Southern California where he was a two-time All-American. Hart played on the PGA Tour (1985, 1989–90, 1996–97, 2001, 2005) and Nationwide Tour (1992–93, 1995, 2000, 2002–04, 2006) over a 20-year span. His best finish on the PGA Tour was T-4 at the 1988 Deposit Guaranty Golf Classic. On the Nationwide Tour, he won once, at the 2000 Buy.com Steamtown Classic. Sonny Skinner
Sonny Skinner (born August 18, 1960) is an American professional golfer who plays on the Champions Tour. Skinner was born in Portsmouth, Virginia. He turned professional in 1982. Skinner joined the PGA Tour in 1990 after going through qualifying school. He played on the Ben Hogan Tour in 1991 after a poor performance in his rookie year on the PGA Tour. He went through qualifying school again in 1991 and returned to the PGA Tour in 1992. He returned to the Nationwide Tour in 1993 where he won the first event he entered, the NIKE Shreveport Open. Japan Golf Tour
The Japan Golf Tour ( ja, 日本ゴルフツアー機構) is a prominent golf tour. It was founded in 1973 and as of 2006 it offers the third-highest annual prize fund out of the regular (that is not for seniors) men's professional tours after the PGA Tour and the European Tour. However, since the early 1990s, the growth in prize money has not kept pace with that on the two larger tours. Official events on the Japan Golf Tour count for World Golf Ranking points, and success on the tour can also qualify members to play in the majors. Most of the leading players on the tour are Japanese, but players from many other countries also participate. The tour is currently run by the Japan Golf Tour Organization (JGTO), which was established in 1999 to separate the tour from the PGA of Japan.
