The 1995–96 Segunda División season saw 20 teams participate in the second flight Spanish league. Hércules CF, CD Logroñés and CF Extremadura were promoted to Primera División. Sestao, Athletic de Bilbao B, Getafe CF and Atlético Marbella were relegated to Segunda División B. From this season, wins worth 3 points instead of 2. Hércules de Alicante Club de Fútbol, S.A.D. () is a Spanish football team in Alicante, in the autonomous community of Valencian Community. Founded on 25 October 1922, it currently plays in Segunda División RFEF – Group 3 and plays its home games at the 29,500-capacity Estadio José Rico Pérez. Écija Balompié, S.A.D. is a Spanish football team based in Écija, in the autonomous community of Andalusia. Estadio Municipal Juan Rojas is a rugby stadium in Almería, Spain.
