1995–96 Ranji Trophy
The 1995–96 Ranji Trophy was the 62nd season of the Ranji Trophy. Karnataka defeated Tamil Nadu on first innings lead in the finals. For the first time, three teams in the semifinals were from the same zone - Hyderabad being the third team from the South Zone. Sunil Joshi became the first, and as of 2015 the only, player to do the double of 500 runs and 50 wickets in a season. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is the national governing body for cricket in India. Its headquarters are situated at Cricket centre, Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Narendra Narayan Menon (born 7 January 1946 in Indore, Madhya Pradesh) is a former Indian first class cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and wicketkeeper. Robindra Ramnarine "Robin" Singh (born 14 September 1963) is an Indian former cricketer and cricket coach. He represented India in one Test and 136 ODIs between 1989 and 2001 as an all-rounder. He has coached the Indian Premier League's Mumbai Indians since 2010 and the Caribbean Premier League's Barbados Tridents since 2013. Amol Muzumdar
Amol Anil Muzumdar (born 11 November 1974) was an Indian cricketer, domestically, having previously played for Mumbai and Assam. He was primarily a right-handed batsman. He held the record for the most runs scored in the Ranji Trophy, India's premier domestic first-class cricket competition, breaking the record held by Amarjit Kaypee. Nilesh Moreshwar Kulkarni (born 3 April 1973) is a former Indian cricketer. He is a slow left-arm bowler and left-handed lower order batsman who stood large at 6 ft 6 inches. Kulkarni was one of the many Mumbai players that got picked for India during Sachin Tendulkar's tenure as captain. Kulkarni wrote himself into cricketing history by taking a wicket with the very first ball that he bowled in Test cricket, becoming the first Indian bowler, and the twelfth bowler overall, to do so. Sulakshan Kashinath Kulkarni (born 15 January 1967) is a former Indian first-class cricketer who played for various teams, mainly Mumbai cricket team, from 1985/86 to 2001/02. He became a cricket coach after retirement. Playing career Kulkarni was a wicket-keeper who batted right-handed. He batted at various positions in his career including opening, and played as a specialist batsman in several matches. He made his debut for Railways cricket team at the age of 18, but switched to Bombay cricket team in the following season. Sairaj Bahutule (born 6 January 1973, Bombay, Maharashtra, India) is a former Indian cricketer. He is an allrounder who specializes in leg spin bowling.
