1995 All Japan Grand Touring Car Championship
The 1995 All Japan Grand Touring Car Championship was the third season of Japan Automobile Federation GT premiere racing, and the second under the promotion of the GT Association (GTA). It was marked as well as the thirteenth season of a JAF-sanctioned sports car racing championship dating back to the All Japan Sports Prototype Championship. Once again, the GT1 class champion was the #1 Calsonic Nissan Skyline GT-R driven by Masahiko Kageyama, and the GT2 class champion was the #70 Gaikokuya Nissan Skyline driven by Yoshimi Ishibashi and Kaoru Hoshino. 1995 saw the Toyota Supra win its first race in the GT1 category, at Sendai Hi-Land Raceway. The victory came just a week after Masanori Sekiya, driver of the winning Castrol TOM's Toyota Supra, became the first Japanese driver to win the 24 Hours of Le Mans overall. All Japan Sports Prototype Championship
The , abbreviated as JSPC, formed by the Japan Automobile Federation, was a domestic championship which took place in Japan for Group C and IMSA GTP prototype cars and also featured cars that were eligible for touring car racing in its earlier years. Class A and Class B for production cars which were defined by the FIA (Group A and Group B) and the lead category, Class C would be for cars that are similar to IMSA's Camel Lights and the WEC's C2, whereas Class D was for C1/GTP cars. The series began in 1983 as All Japan Endurance Championship, an endurance championship with an intention to replace its domestic touring car championship and started out as a three-round event, including one which as it was part of the WEC round which meant drivers competing in the national series was counted into the world championship. Zexel is a Japanese auto-components manufacturer. It was founded in 1939 as Diesel Kiki Co., Ltd., under a Bosch license, for domestic production of fuel-injection pumps for diesel engines. Akira Iida
is a Japanese racing driver currently competing in the Super GT series in GT300 class with , one of the teams under Toyota Motorsport's GAZOO racing arm. Iida won the 2002 All Japan Grand Touring Car Championship GT500 class with Esso Toyota Team LeMans, driving with Juichi Wakisaka. He also won 2013 Asian Le Mans Series GTE class driving for Team Taisan Ken Endless. Iida was also a presenter on the Japanese Best Motoring TV series. Naoki Nagasaka (長坂 尚樹、born 24 April 1953) is a Japanese former Auto racing, racing driver. He has competed professionally in several Japan championships from the 1970s to the 1990s. Minoru Tanaka (田中 実, Minoru Tanaka, born June 1, 1963, Kyoto Prefecture) is a Japanese racing driver. Career Tanaka was active in automobile racing. After playing an active part in the Japanese junior formula, he fully participated in the British Formula 3 Championship in 1990. Future F1 drivers such as Mika Häkkinen, Mika Salo and Hideki Noda also participated in this race. He returned to Japan the following year to compete in Japan's top formula. Yukihiro Hane (, born August 26, 1962) is a former Japanese racing driver. Career Hane is active in automobile racing. He participates in both domestic and overseas races like the Macau Grand Prix and the FIA GT Championship; he was the first Japanese driver to fully participate in the latter. After his debut, he participated in the Japanese Formula 3 Championship. In 1990, he ranked 4th after Naoki Hattori, Naohiro Furuya and Hisashi Wada. Porsche 911 GT2
The Porsche 911 GT2 is a high-performance, track-focused sports car built by the German automobile manufacturer Porsche from 1993 to 2009, and then since 2010 as the GT2 RS. It is based on the 911 Turbo, and uses a similar twin-turbocharged engine, but features numerous upgrades, including engine enhancements, larger brakes, and stiffer suspension calibration. The GT2 is significantly lighter than the Turbo due to its use of rear-wheel-drive instead of all-wheel-drive system and the reduction or removal of interior components.
